OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network has revealed the schedule for its premiere weekend, starting Jan. 1, and announced that Naomi and Wynonna Judd, Ryan and Tatum O’Neal, and Carson Kressley will each star in their own original series. The Judds follows the country-music duo while they prepare for their first concert tour in ten years. In Ryan and Tatum: The O’Neals, the two actors try to patch up their relationship. Carson-Nation will shadow Kressley as he brings his fashion expertise to small towns across America.
The new network will also feature shows hosted by Suze Orman, Dr. Oz, and Dr. Phil (all three together on Ask Oprah’s All-Stars), as well as Cristina Ferrare, Gayle King, Peter Walsh, Dr. Laura Berman, Lisa Ling, and more. Also on the schedule are new episodes of Trading Spaces and The Best of Dr. Phil, drawing on his syndicated talk show.

Read that she’s also having shows featuring The Judds (“Hillbilly Trash Bin”) and Ryan and Tatum O’Neal reconciling – seriously, Oprah?!? THIS is what you launched a network for??
And I’m sure it’s in the contract of every single person that ever appears on any of her shows that they ALWAYS end up complete, self-actualized, at peace and transcended. ALWAYS!
What did Gayle King do before Oprah became famous?
that is so funny!! I wonder that too? Her claim to fame is being Oprah’s BBF.
She was a news anchor. But I take your point.
Oprah gets my vote as the smartest person alive. She didn’t bolt from her syndicated show when it became obvious she could do whatever she pleased, instead manufacturing a bunch of talk show mavens who owe their existance to her.
Although my favorite was her launching of the sales volume of Amazon’s Kindle. In the middle of her discussion with Jeff Bezos (Amazon) my wife suggested that we call and order this thing that Oprah had just mentioned. For those who waited until the segment or show was over, it was too late — the electronic book reader was out of stock. And there are a hundred more where her touch made someone famous and rich overnight.
First, a great marketer who understands her customers and secondly knows how best to leverage that so that she maintains control and garners every other dollar in the universe.
I couldn’t agree more. In addition to be a brilliant improvisational entertainer, she’s a very savvy business woman.
I promise not to text or use my cell phone in ynaway while driving.Oprah, you’ll doing us all a favor by this No Texting Campaign . More celebraties should join you.
This programming sounds pretty on point if you watch her show regularly. I admit I’m a little disappointed in her last season. I used to watch almost every DVR’ed Oprah but I’ve barely watched 1/3 of this season. The content has skewed much older this year, probably because it is revisiting past shows and topics.
If there are shows on OWN geared toward a younger audience, I’m in. Lisa Ling and Carson Kresley show promise but nothing I’d get too excited about. I could care less about Dr. Phil.
So agree with you SJ. I was going through my DVR this morning catching up on Oprah shows and thought the same thing. Who is her demographic nowadays? The show with Jessica Seinfeld was a complete waste of my time. The Jane Fonda show and others are just boring. Getting a sense it will be more of the same on the network.
Gayle used to be a tv reporter
I’ll definitely give all her shows a chance.
When are the Judds (their show) appearing on Oprah’s network. I can’t find information anywhere.
Blesst
