Demi Lovato has entered a treatment center for “emotional and physical issues,” her rep told People. The 18-year-old singer/Disney star—who had been serving as the Jonas Brothers’ opening act—left the tour over the weekend to seek help. The rep informed the magazine that Lovato “regrets not being able to finish her tour, but is looking forward to getting back to work in the near future.”

A person isn’t horrible for seeking help for their issues. Demi has always been a nice, educated young woman. She’s not like Lindsay who thew away her career for drugs and drinking and has been to rehab like 5 times and she doesn’t give a crap about getting better. She’s not the first and certainly not the last to have issues and I just hope she gets better.

While I personally am not a fan of Glee, I am PRETTY SURE it does not FORCE people to be gay. As for the Disney stars, I challenge you to find a person who has never partied, struggled with depression, body image, or experamented with drugs or *gasp* mini-skirts at some point during their adolescense. If you had a cup of coffee this morning, then guess what?! You’re a drug user, too! The only difference is that these people are in the public eye.

I agree, I don’t like many Disney stars but I like her. It’s really sad. When people make fun of her she seems to take it to heart. She just needs to learn to avoid all that stuff if she’s going to stay in the spotlight.

Agreed. My heart sank when I read this headline. I love Demi and – even though I’m old enough to be her mother – I watch her show. She has great comedic timing and is full of life onstage. So talented and pretty and nice…I admire her for getting help and pray she truly recovers. We’re rooting for you, Demi!
how could her family not put it together that it was too much. She missed some shows from her tour with David Archuleta last summer as well, claimed a scheduling conflict but she wasn’t doing anything else. Last summer’s tour was too much for her; why would this summer’s be easier?
