Live to Dance, CBS’ new Paula Abdul-led dance reality contest series will debut with a two-hour episode on Tuesday Jan. 4 — and then air opposite American Idol on Wednesday nights. (The show will broadcast live beginning Wednesday, Jan. 12.) Live to Dance features 18 dancers from “all styles, backgrounds and ages” competing for a $500,000 prize. Abdul, Travis Payne, and Kimberly Wyatt will serve as the “panel of experts,” according to CBS’s statement, and Andrew Günsberg will host.

If it is anything like So You Think You Can Dance i’ll watch it. But it makes me a little nervous that it’s open to all ages. I don’t really like talent competitions with little kids and old people for the cute factor like America’s Got Talent.
Oh, this is going to be the TV showdown of next spring! Paula Abdul’s NEW show competing with her OLD show! American Idol is going to lose a chunk of its viewers because of Paula’s involvement in Live to Dance! Dancing with the Stars winning over Idol earlier this spring is nothing when compared to this head to head competition!
It’s also on ratings powerhouse CBS.
I’ll stick with Idol. Too many dance shows on television now.
This show will be a flop. i wonder if Paula will advise the dancers on what pain pill is best when you are injured. and what alcohol its best mixed with to give it that kick that makes you appear retarded.
I doubt this will rival Dancing with the Stars. So You Think You Can Dance, for example, has far too many hip hop type dancers and I’m not a fan of “tricks.” Bit of a purist when it comes to dance.
No one cares about Paula Abdul or this new dumb show she’s hosting. Paula was briefly relevant when she was on American Idol and only because she was known as the “drunk one”. Expect this new show to die a quick death.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE put something on that will entertain us and make us laugh, cry and think …. give us something with a storyline and characters we can get involved with – bring back TV they way it was meant to be. STOP ALL THIS FREAKIN’ REALITY CRAP!!!
Hats off to wohever wrote this up and posted it.
