NBC has announced two Saturday Night Live lineups for November: Scarlett Johansson will host on Nov. 13 with Arcade Fire as the musical guest, while Anne Hathaway is set to emcee the Nov. 20 show featuring Florence and the Machine. This will be Johansson’s third hosting gig and Hathaway’s second.

Wow… I don’t think I have ever remembered SNL having so many female hosts in one season. This is what, their 4th and 5th so far? That is more than I can remember for most entire seasons, not just the first 8 or so episodes. I guess after Jane and Emma’s SNL’s were the funniest of the season they figured, why not? But for the love of me… get Justin Timberlake to host again!
Jane’s was hysterical. Emma’s sucked.
Other way around, Emma stone can speak properly while Jane Lynch just yacks out of one side of her mouth, with the other side closed. *ugly*
Anne Hathaway was terrific last time. And Scarlett Johansson … well, even if she bombs, she’ll be nice to look at

YES! I knew Florence and the Machine would have to be on SNL eventually. Plus I have no problem with ScarJo or Anne Hathaway, so that’s good! SNL’s had good guests so far this season.
“Lookit these caaalumms! You put these up in yer driveway, people drive by they say Hey, who lives here? Must be the POPE or something!” This is one identical-to-the-last-one sketch I’m actually looking forward to.

I agree. I’d also like to see them put on the Drive-By Truckers, the Avett Brothers, the Black Keys, and the Raconteurs, but hey, they don’t read these blogs, so who knows when they’ll figure it out on their own.

Both hosts are great, both bands are bad. And SNL has been pretty damn good for the last ten years or so, and that includes Kristin Wiig. Abby Elliot is also very funny. They should have Bad Religion as a musical guest, and Guided by Voices too. Even though they’ve already been showing re-runs, this season has started off string. I watched the re-run of the season opener. Just as funny the second time ’round.
