Eastbound’s biggest problem this 2nd season has been too much Stevie. In small doses, he’s funny; otherwise he’s just plain annoying.
I love Bored to Death. it’s very consistent. It gives me the same pleasure that sushi and jazz give me. Just some light-hearted noir with a really fun supporting cast. Ted Danson deserves an Emmy for his work on the show and Jason Schwartzman has been a surprisingly likable lead.
I don’t know where you people are coming from who liked season one of EB&D but not season 2. Season 2 has had great writing. It’s just not season 1. Bored to death has actually gotten better in season 2 in my opinion.

More people should be watching this hour of comedy and the F/X Thursday hour of “Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia” and “The League”. These are the four best and funniest comedies on television right now and none of them suffer from overused cliches and themes that network comedies recycle year after year after year. Who needs another family sitcom or workplace sitcom?
Its time the Emmys started recognizing the brilliant work being done on these great comedies.
Eastbound & Down will return for it’s final season to North Carolina. It was blatantly obvious when Kenny called April last episode and said “I’m coming for you.”
Eastbound needs to get back to Season 1 characters…they need April, and they need Will Ferrell as the car salesman.

Bored to Death, is one of the best shows on TV.

I am so happy Bored to Death is coming back. It is pure genius from the concept, writing and most of the all the cast. I literally laugh out loud watching it.
