Charlie Sheen has been discharged from hospital. 'Everything else is speculation,' says spokesperson

Filed under: News and tagged: ,

According to Charlie Sheen’s spokesperson, the actor has been discharged from hospital in New York and is returning to Los Angeles today. The spokesperson insisted in an email that, “Everything else is speculation.”

Police were called to New York’s Plaza Hotel early this morning, after an allegedly intoxicated and naked Charlie Sheen trashed his suite, according to People and newspaper reports. The actor was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital. A spokesperson for the NYPD said that cops did respond to a call at 1:30 a.m. and removed a 45-year-old male.

In the course of today, various media outlets reported that Sheen was under psychiatric evaluation and was returning to rehab. These are presumably among the “speculations” to which the actor’s spokesperson referred.

Unfortunately, I don’t think Charlie will ever turn his life around unless he makes the decision for himself. And, his “enablers” need to walk away from him. CBS Executives need to “can” the show even though it will cost the other actors, to send a message: this behavior will not be tolerated and consequences will be paid due to bad behavior. Our society has gotten to sympathetic to these “Hollywood” a-holes like Charlie and Lindsay. We need to turn off our TV’s and send a strong message to the entertainment industry. When their pockets begin to hurt; so will the actors. Maybe when they’re unemployed and can’t pay for their expensive lifestyles, some may change their ways. Others, will crash and burn and be forgotten. Oh well, that’s LIFE!!
