Tom Bosley: Friends mourn the late actor on Twitter

Tom Bosley, the stage and screen actor best known for his role as Mr. Cunningham on Happy Days, passed away today at 83 years old. Friends and celebrity fans have taken to their Twitter accounts to pay tribute to the late actor. Here’s what they’ve posted:

Scott Baio: “Thanks Tvan @TMZ for the call. Mr. Tom Bosley will be missed by many. He was  a great actor, teacher and man.”

Neil Patrick Harris: “Sad news: Tom Bosley has passed away. Such a wonderful man. We worked together in Cabaret on Broadway. So kind. He will be missed…”

    Twitter is not an appropriate venue to “mourn” someone. Call his family, send a card, put the iPhone down for 5 minutes and show some respect.

      I disagree. Yes, you should send a card, call his family, etc… but in today’s world of technology, I would be more upset if someone didnt tweet or facebook about. I posted it as my FB post, and I think it is a great way to show respect. Of course, I’m not famous :)

      I’m sure many of them did that, too, but Twitter is a nice way to publicly state something for the benefit of the masses. This is not replacing those other things.

      I think they mention their association so people realize the connection. I would have no idea how neil patrick harris is connected with Tom if he hadn’t said it.

    Tom Bosley was one remarkable erformer.I got to meet him in New York in 2003 when he did “Cabaret” with Mariette Hartley.He was a gentleman.Very wholesome and kind.He left a very lasting impression.R.I.P.,Mr. B.
