Even though he was way before my time….I really loved his movies…my favorite ‘Some Like It Hot’….RIP Tony…
He was a great actor.
What a life, what a man.
Thanks for the memories. RIP.
I am from Europe, and Tony Curtis was huge there!!!! I love to watch him in a too short series: The Pretenders… Filmed in the 70s… It’s impossible to find that series in the US…. I will miss you Mr Curtis…
An excellent Actor, my favorite Curtis Film is “Taras Bulba” with Yul Brenner! My prayers for the family.
As I love Some Like it Hot, I fell in love with Tony in this film. However in past years my respect wavered for the hateful things he has said about Marilyn Monroe in public and in his book. However, my mom just told me about this and I’m devastated. It always makes me so very sad when classic Hollywood is dying out. RIP Tony Curtis
One of the best things I did in college twenty-eight years ago was when I went by myself to see a campus screening of ‘The Defiant Ones’. What an amazing film with stunning performances that have lingered in my mind all these years. RIP Mr. Curtis, your talent will be missed.
I remember Mr. Curtis as not only a great actor but a decent human being and a pragmatist in terms of talking about old Hollywood and some of their classic myths. Many he saw and participated in first hand. It is a great loss and he will be missed.
A gutsey, funny guy who never let the Hollywood hype rule him. And a terrific painter in oils too. Good man Tony.
Tony Curtis was the man Elvis wanted to emulate. A cool dude, and fine actor.
The Defiant Ones was at one point supposed to star Elvis and Sammy Davis, Jr. but I think Col. Parker nixed it.
God bless & keep Jamie & Kelly: one can easily see his greatness in thier beauty.
Bernie Schwartz, maybe the smartest guy in the world for enjoying Janet Leigh while she was smoking hot and dumping her when she started looking like their daughter does now!
Almost as smart as Mickey Rooney!
Tony Curtis, you were AMAZING!
LOVED the way you spoke. LOVED the sound of your voice. You had dashing good-looks too in you 30′s and 40′s, and 50′s… wow!
You had a fantastic run!
May your Soul rest in peace. God Bless.
Tony came from Hunts Point in the Bronx. A Bronx boy who did good. You will be missed.
