3D or no 3D, I’m excited to be able to take my small sons to see all the movies (at least original trilogy) on the big screen. That will be a great experience.
So.Frickin.EXCITED.
All you haters out there, just embrace it ’cause 3D is the future and the future has always been Star Wars (yes, yes, I know it was a long time ago…you know what I mean)
He will keep pushing it until no one comes to the theatre any longer. He will keep going until he finally achieves massive failure and shame.
GREAT! LET THE INTERWEB NERDS REJOICE!!!

I don’t understand why anyone would think this ruins the movies. Before, you could only see them in 2D. Now, you will have the option to watch them in 2D OR 3D. How does adding another option for fans ruin anything?
Hopefully he remakes episodes 1-3 with models, puppets, costumes and real sets instead of all that CGI crap. Sorry but 4-6 look REAL! The newer ones just don’t pull it off!
I will probably check out the original trilogy in 3D but the new films sucked the first time 3d won’t help.
Cant we skip the prequels and go right to the originals or has technology not gotten to a point that you can turn anything into 3-D? I cant afford seeing Avatar in 3-D let alone Star Wars, I think I’ll stick to my dvds although it would’ve been awesome to see the Death Star get blown up in 3-D
Start saving January 1, 2011. Since the first one won’t be released until 2012, you will have all of 2011 to save. Given a ticket price of $15, if you start saving on January 1, 2011 and the first movie is released January 1, 2012 you would only need to save 28 cents per week.
NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
Sorry, couldn’t resist.
lets set he record straight lucas wrote all six films..they are his films!!!
Stop being ignorant children
BS. Do you really think Avatar would have been as good in 2-D. No way. I saw that one too and it was worthless. It was like somebody used blue-face on Dancing With Wolves characters. At least Star Wars has an awesome story to begin with. Now it will be an even better experience. Don’t bother comparing Clash of the Titans. That would have sucked in 2-D also.
