The hospital was unable to provide any details on the cause of Giraldo’s hospitalization or his condition. Reps for the Last Comic Standing judge did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

It was a prescription drug overdose.
It’s too bad. He’s a funny dude. He’s admitted countless times to being a recovering drug addict and it doesn’t take much to cause someone with that problem to slip up on the road to full sobriety. Hopefully, when he recovers, this will be the thing that pushes him towards his goal of cleaning up.
RIP, Greg.

Such a bummer…he was a brilliant comic, especially on the Comedy Central roasts.
As for EW’s follow up, even TV Guide beat them to the punch on this sotory…
so, so sad. greg, you made me laugh so hard – the friend falling in love with the stripper bit is one of the funniest bits i’ve ever seen and i repeated it tonight in your honor.
RIP Greg- you always ALWAYS made me laugh, You will be missed.
I really couldn’t be more upset. He was my favorite. First Mitch and now him. I have to quit loving these guys but they live so hard and then I can’t bear losing them. He was the funniest guy on all the Roasts and it is a real loss to Com Central and all comedy lovers that he is gone! RIP Greg…. love ya, man!!!
