Simon Cowell's rep on 'X-Factor' judges: 'No decisions made'

Now that Fox has offically announced the new judges for American Idol, Internet rumors have been swirling about who will be chosen to judge Simon Cowell’s upcoming U.S. adaptation of X-Factor. While some reports have mentioned Dancing with the Stars winner Nicole Scherzinger and British pop star Cheryl Cole as potential candidates, Simon Cowell’s publicist denies those rumors saying it’s “much too early” and there have been “no decisions made” regarding the judging panel.

There’s been a rumor that Paula has been approached for it and that Shania is also being considered.

I think I heard that Paula’s contract for her new dance show doesn’t allow her to appear as a judge on a competing show :(

I read and Cheryl Cole in a British tabloid this week.

I think Simon with Paula would be fun, but she might be too busy. Shania would make for a good choice in the “Paula/Cheryl” role. I think the third judge should be someone who can sing, dance and act or has managed/produced such acts. NPH would be a good choice, as would Kristin Chenoweth for example as people who can sing, act and dance.

You should check out clips of the UK X-Factor, Cheryl Cole is a great judge. She really cares for the contestants and is quite feisty. She’ll boldly stand up to Simon, totally unafraid. She’s sassy and she’d be a great judge for the American version.

unlikely to be Cheryl Cole, she’s become increasingly unpopular in the UK version for making bad choices and recently got a lot of flack for going away to pursue a recording deal and leaving her acts unmentored acts for half a week! The panel don’t just judge they ‘mentor’ each act in a category, groups, girls, boys and over26s. Katy Perry & Nicole Scherzinger were guest judges over here while Dannii Minogue was having a baby and were really popular we’d love either of them back!! :D

I think Paula and Simon are a geat team and would love to see her back as a judge. Randy too, the three together again would be great.

I think Paula , Simon and Randy make agreat team. Would love to see all three together again in x factor. They are what made AI, which has lost its audience appeal as far as I am concerned

Just FYI folks – X-Factor has four judges.

  • umbrella

Who is going to watch AI when the x factor arrives.

There’s only some many hours in a week to devote to TV!

Bring Joe McElderry(last years winner) to appear as a guest singer! He’s really great!

wasn’t kelly rowland from destiny’s child on the short-list at one time?

AI and the X-Factor will not overlap – X-factor is in the Fall and AI is in the Winter. I find the X-Factor boring, with singles, groups, and old folks competing. I’d rather watch a bunch of single young perfomers compete like on AI.

I used to live on the island of Saipan! Nice job my Chamorro/Carolinian brteohrs & sisters at CrossFit 671!Saipan is super special to me, that’s where I started my triathlon career & met dear friend and first coach, the inspiring Jamie Whitmore!

Unbelievable that Simon Cowell is considering paying convicted assailant Cheryl Cole (aka CHERYL TWEEDY) to be a judge on the XFactor. Charged with racially-aggravated assault and simple assault, the drunken Cole/Tweedy was convicted on the latter charge for assaulting a bathroom attendant. Who needs this kind of trash in our screens?

any decent totsoaitt would be able to design one for u. Never go for a design that’s on the wall’ or one that a celebrity has. Do u really want a tattoo that half the people in ur town already have? Was this answer helpful?

Would love to see simon and Paula again at the judges’ table for their incredible chemistry and fun bantering

Uh oh, this is in SO many ways wrong.Smarty makes development easeir, it makes the HTML more readable, and it FORCES you to have certain standards of quality! If you don’t find Smarty easy to use, and forcing you to certain high quality of standard, you aren’t using it right.Smarty has one of the most simplest syntaxes, and helps you in so many ways to structure the template side of things, and it has totally neglible overhead. If you are sticking PHP in middle of smarty template, you are doing something terrible wrong. If you cannot use smarty without cursing it’s buggy you are doing something wrong.Smarty doesn’t bug, infact, in 7yrs of using it now, i’ve not encounted a single bug in my lifetime of using it.Oh, and for those VERY complex pieces, simply use an view helper, or custom function, but preferrably, just pass the data to smarty in a sane format.for example, BaseApp, someone’s easy to install base starting point for Zend Framework includes smarty, but the examples suck totally, they are so immensively stupidly templated that you got to wonder who can be such an idiot to put everywhere {assign} tags. and that integration totally sucks.Jani’s smarty integration (SmartyView & SmartyAdvanced) is good starting point but is bug riddled, need to fix the bugs in the integration, and then smarty is one pleasant templating to use.Case example:Search results, legacy code , no real MVC structure. In the end of code there’s an if ($_POST[‘rss’] == 1) $smarty->display( rss_results.tpl’) piece.Guess how fast it was to turn HTML to valid rss? ;)

No chains so the DE was a bit lame.Easy Mary 5 runods, PU unbroken HSPU were down to mostly singles by round 2. By start or round 6 I just couldn’t push my body up.These WODS have been really been hammering my weakness in the HSPU area.
