Big Brother 12 jury member Britney Haynes’ Little Rock, Ark., home was damaged in a fire early this morning, according to the Little Rock Fire Department. Fire crews responded to a call at the home, which Hayes shares with her fiancé Nick Grisham, at 1:32 a.m. Wednesday. An outdoor grill is believed to have caused the blaze, the department told EW. Damages are estimated to be around $50,000, according to the Arkansas Democrat Gazette. Little Rock FD would not confirm the figure. CBS has yet to return calls for comment regarding Haynes’ scheduled appearance on tonight’s finale.

I watched the live feeds and I loved Britney… she was whitty and awesome and I am truly sad to hear about her home. Glad the boyfriend and the pets are ok tho.
That’s awful! Unfortunately, it won’t affect Britney’s participation in tonight’s finale. During season 2, the HG’s and jury were NOT told what happened on 9/11 until after the season concluded, so I’d hardly expect the producers to tell Britney about a house fire until after she has fulfilled her contractual obligations.
Um….Melissa you are WRONG! 9/11 was the first and only time the producers intervened and told the houseguests about a current event outside the house. They did this because Monica had a relative who could not be located after the attacks. Geez….bone up on your BB trivia!
that’s not true. they were told, i distinctly remember the final three being told what was going on…monica’s cousin was killed that day. i’m sure they will tell her, but it won’t affect her participation in the finale…
That’s not true. BB pulled the three guest that were left in to the diary room and told them about 9/11 that day. Especially since one of them had a family member that was missing and if I recall correctly, although I may be mistaken on this part, never found.
Didn’t the producers also tell the cast about Hurricane Katrina?
As a person who has been thru a house burning down, it’s not something to joke about. I hope that they have community support as we did. I know that Lane will make sure they are taken care of too, b/ he’s just that type of guy. But I think any of the 3 that are left would help her. This cast was a genuinely nice cast, except for Racheal. Like Reagan said…she was the source of all fights and OMG that laugh…get rid of her and please don’t let her have any 15 minutes…good luck to the final 3.

I agree that is nothing to laugh about. Hopefully she has as supportive of a community as we do when our house burned down. I wasn’t fond of Britney as a contestant, but it’s nothing to laugh at :-/
I feel really bad for Brit, but is anyone seeing the irony here that her house caught fire by an outdoor grill, and the fact that a few weeks ago on BB she was terrified of the BBQ blowing up on Lane?

It is very sad this happened but she only rents the home so she can go now and rent another home or buy ine so thank god for that!! the owner will have to fix the house not Brit!!
