In court papers obtained by EW dated Sept. 2, lawyer Roberta A. DeAngelis accuses Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Guidice and her husband of failing to disclose a book advance when filing for bankruptcy in October. The papers claim Guidice received a $250,000 advance from Hyperion for her cookbook, Skinny Italian, and did not reveal the asset in their petition. The papers also claim the Guidices did not disclose their ownership of TG Fabulicious, the Bravo star’s online boutique.
The couple is currently facing $11 million in debt.

Teresa Giudice on ‘The View’: ‘I always live within my means. Always.’

11 million? oh em gee. How do people get that far in debt?
I really hope that they get what’s coming to them. I am sick and tired of the wealthy trying to skirt their responsibility without any reprecussions. It’s high time the courts treat these people the same way as us “little” people.
and i’m really sick of losers skirting their responsibility and sitting at home all day on their butts collecting an unemployment check instead of looking for a real job. 49% of americans pay no income tax. now that’s skirting responsibility.
49%?! Really?! Put the pipe down and stop watching Fox News.
Well I’m not one of them! I am a hard worker who tries to do right by everyone and nothing pisses me off more than to see the rich get richer by using sneaky means. And you might want to get your facts straight. There are not 49% that pay no income tax and oh yeah, when you files your taxes you are responsible for that income tax so there is no skirting it! I should know I was unemployed for 8 months when my former company shut their doors and laid all of us off. I collected unemployment but I spent at least 10 hours a day looking for a new job and when it came time to file I had to pay all the income taxes from those checks.
Obviously these people were not wealthy with $11 million in debt. Playing wealthy? Yes. Actually wealthy? No.
I would love to see them behind bars wearing stripes.
How did they think they’d get away without disclosing such a large amount of money. I bet there might be more tucked under that mattress.
Everything I’ve read says that they filed for bankruptcy in October of last year, but didn’t receive the advance until six months later. Lawyers challenge bankruptcies in court across the country every single day, you just won’t read about them on EW.com. The fact remains that all unearned, future and potential assets are protected from creditors. People do what the Giudices are doing every day. It doesn’t seem fair, but that’s the way the law works.
The Guidices are sad, greedy clowns. They knew they were dirty so they were stupid for being on TRHONJ.
Agreed! So accurate. They are disgusting.
She’s an even dumber putana than Danielle.
Teresa and her husband are crooks, and
I hope they go to jail. On their trip
to Italy they show their home, so she
probably hid that from the gov. too. They were living a lie and it caught up to them. I’ve seen her spend money like water and I always
wondered why she paid in cash. I hope she doesn’t come back to HWONJ.
they don’t own that house in Italy. I’m sure their parents still own it and it would cost an arm and a leg to change the title. My parents still own their family homes in Europe but it would cost thousands of dollars just to start the process of transferring title as the laws in Europe are backwards. This is a perfect example of people trying to live far beyond their means.
