Howard Stern said he “pretty sure” he will leave satellite radio at the end of the year after his five-year, $500 million contact from Sirius XM ends. He hinted that he’s considering alternate Internet formats, though it could be an opening move in negotiations with the satellite radio company as it looks to extend his contract. wherever he goes, we will follow, STAY ON!!!!!!
Spoken like a true lame
So true. Was funny on terrestrial. Signed up for Sirius for Stern. Kept my subscription for the last 4 years but stopped listening to him a while ago.
He was funny?….. When ?!!!….He has always been an obnoxious sexist egotistical moron who’s idea of humour is on level with fifth grade boys who at least can claim they don’t know any better yet…
Social satire often goes over the heads of people; sorry!
its obvious you just take what the media says about him as gospel and have never actually listened to his program.
Howard Stern is perhaps the prime example of a media personality who is totally misunderstood by people who’ve never bothered to actually check him out, and whose “reputation” is in conflict with what he actually does on radio. I think he’s a brilliant interviewer and a genius in his medium.
Are you people INSANE? Funnier than ever, you stupid Philistines.
Listen for free on Shoutcast every morning.
Except on Fridays or whenever he’s on vacation.
O&A – The TRUE Workhorses of Sirius/XM!!!
is O and A still on sirius?
i thought they moved elseware?
O and A party rock!!
Ron and Fez!
Both those shows are beyond boring. I did try them out for a few weeks to see if my sub is worth the renewal next year if howard leaves, but both are beyond boring and definitely not worth paying $20 a month, Canada’s subscription price is more expensive
hoo rah!
O and A were great up until they started constantly talking politics and race. Now their show is only funny on a part time basis. I only check in now on occasion instead of every day.
Opie and Anthony and Ron and Fez only reason I have Sirius!
O&A?! rather listen to mariann from brocklyn’s voice for an hour than those clowns
OK, but that is not how you spell Brooklyn.
Didn’t Nick Cannon replace them in New York? L O L.
Ain’t no party like a Nick Cannon party cause a Nick Cannon party don’t stop!!!!
O&A? Hahahahahaha! El Lamo, indeed.
Sirius Execs – I’m ready to step in whenever you need me!
I can do this job in my sleep
lol!!!
That’s funny
This news is such horsesh!t. Howard’s been saying this at least once a week this past year. All he wants to stay with Sirius is an abbreviated schedule and they should give it to him. Sirius radio will die without him.
yah thats true.
get that poison out of your system sirius!
LOL. Totally!
Abbreviated? His schedule is already abbreviated! He is there 4 days a week and every other week they are on vacation. Don’t even get me started about how every commercial break we have to sit through one of those horribly unfunny (but we have to laugh or they go into a downward tailspin) Sal and Richard phonecalls/bits,and THEN listen to a 4 minute song before they start the show again. The wrap-up show sucks majorly and it’s enough already. If he goes to 3 days and week AND wants more vacation..bye bye Sirius!
I wish I could make $500 million in 5 years and not do sh*t. I have Sirius radio but I have never listed to his show, I can’t stand him. I listen to the all Elvis channel.
*listened
If you have never listened to his show, then how can you comment on what he does? Go listen to some more Elvis and mind your own business.
sirius won’t die if Hoo Hoo leaves the will save money not wasting 500 million on someone who is barely there
I love Howard and he’s the only reason I have Sirius. But an abbreviated schedule? He’s only on 4 days a week as it is and he takes 10 weeks vacation. Any more abbreviated and I’d have to think hard about reupping…
Annoying. The only reason the Sirius/XM Merger went Sirius’ way was Howard Stern – XM had a better long-term business model and better programming.
Agreed. I had XM and after the merger I started listening to Howard, and stopped listening to the rest of the channels. The music stations were better on XM.
He’s still on the air?
Oh, I get it, because YOU don’t listen to him, he doesn’t exist. Stupid egocentric peasant.
your still working at mcdonalds??
Where Howard goes..we will follow. Get ready to go belly up Sirius/XM if Howard doesn’t Re-up.
Howard should take less money and move to 10-2. He’d be able to have a “night life,” and the later schedule would allow him to be live across the US at once. It also allows Sirius to pay him less which is what they will need to do to survive. This gives both sides an “out.”
Oh, and the later schedule would be better for Artie, so maybe he’d come back.
Artie needs to stay away. Seriously.
Any word on Artie? I miss him on the show.
Ugh, the show only got BETTER when that fat, unfunny loudmouth left. Hope he stays in whatever rehab he’s in for the rest of his life.
I’ll second that notion but I think Howard wants 3 days a week, not a later show. I’m not entirely with that 3 day idea. The show has been the best it has been ever, so it’s easy for me to forgive him taking our Friday away. But 3 days? That’s nonsense at $150 dollars a year. I’d rather see him leave Sirius and go to the internet for a lower price.
EW, spellcheck much?
I pretty sure they am
I have Sirius Radio, haven’t listened to him once. I got it for the music.
I think he’s finally hit his stride. Sattelite is a great forum for what he does. His interviews are the best ever. Better than practically anyone. It would be a shame to see him move at this time.
Let him start at 9am instead of 6 and he’ll be a much happier camper.
I HOPE HE COMES BACK TO NORMAL RADIO. I CAN’T AFFORD SIRIUS RADIO AND I MISS HEARING HIS SHOW.
You can’t pay the monthly fee, yet you can pay your internet bill ?
You don’t understand that the internet is useful in lots of different ways and that satellite radio is only useful in one?
Satellite radio is living on borrowed time anyway. In a few years we’ll all be able to stream Internet audio in our cars, and that will be the end of satellite radio.
You can get an internet subscription for 3 dollars a month…. you do not think up to 20 hours a week is worth that? And he goes on vacation less often then television talk shows while being on around 5 hours a day
And you wonder why XM/Sirius is going to go belly up down the road. They want resign this guy for even more money? That’s novel.
Whatever happened to Artie?
