TNT is renewing Memphis Beat for a second season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show, starring Jason Lee as a Tennessee detective, has been averaging a solid 4.5 million viewers through its first ten episodes.

YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The show can be slow in spots but I like it better than Dark Blue.
It was decent summer fare. During the more competitive seasons, I probably wouldn’t have kept up with it.
I’m so sick of Lee’s goofy/ironic supposed “acting” in every show or movie he does. Plus, he’s a Scientologist, so he’s definately an idiot!
I’m not a fan Scientology by any means…but who cares what religion (or cult…) an actor belongs to?
But he can probably spell “definitely” correctly.
So dont watch. Everyone I Know loves this show

I tried to watch it, but couldn’t get past the sloppy try at getting Memphis in all its glorious grit on to the screen. They get too many references and parts of town wrong for me. Beyond that, the tone is just wrong…If they want a script consultant, I am available
Its a tv show. Not a reality show, just an entertainment show. I am for sure entertained. I am a big Elvis fan. I appreciate the fact that Jason can honor Elvis without trying to BE Elvis.
The police work is good without burying us in forensic science and the music is sweet and soulful. A+!
