Paul Hogan, 70, best known for playing the titular character in the film Crocodile Dundee, claims he doesn’t have even 10 percent of the undisclosed sum he owes officials in back taxes on $38 million Australian dollars, the AP reports. In an interview with Australian program A Current Affair, the actor denied that he is a tax evader and said that the Australian Crime Commission is just looking to make an example out of a high-profile person. The L.A.-residing actor was served with an Australian Taxation Office order Aug. 20 that prevents him from leaving the country, which he entered last week to attend his mother’s funeral.
