Comedian Robert Schimmel, perhaps best known for appearing on The Howard Stern Show, is in very serious condition after a car accident on Thursday, his manager confirmed to EW.com. As first reported by TMZ, Schimmel’s 19-year-old daughter was driving at the time of the accident, which occurred on an Arizona freeway. His daughter swerved to avoid an accident in her lane, causing their car to roll over onto the side of the road. Schimmel’s daughter was hospitalized and is in stable condition, while Schimmel’s 11-year-old son, who was also in the vehicle, was released Thursday without any injuries.
Schimmel is known for his raunchy, sex-driven humor, and has released a number of comedy albums. He’s also a cancer survivor who was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2000 and underwent chemotherapy. He wrote the book Cancer on $5 a Day (chemo not included): How Humor Got Me Through the Toughest Journey of My Life about his struggle with the disease.

That is so sad, he is a brilliant comediene
who battled such a horrible disease and now has to suffer even more, life is not fair in this situation, my prayers are with him and his family!
Is this the insulting dog guy?
No, that’s Robert Smigel (you are talking about Triumph, right?).
He’s one heck of a funny guy. Here’s hoping for a quick recovery to all involved.
He survived cancer, but now needs a new liver thanks to a bad blood transfusion when he was in the Air Force. now this. The guy has terrible luck when it comes to his health. I wish him all the best.
best wishes to him and his family

Bob is the nicest, most genuine comic I have ever met in person. The man has been to hell and back and survived like a champ. His first HBO special is one of the main reasons i became a comic. While i’m not very religuous, I’ll be praying for him, and encourage everyone else do whatever it is they do to wish him well. Get well buddy

“To See You Again”
Schimmel rocks! I really hope he pulls through this and can joke about it someday on Howard.
Get Well Bro!
Robert is a first-class stand-up guy. He has had such bad luck and I hope he is strong enough to pull through this as well. He has a very strong will and I know with the love of his family, friends, and fans, he can overcome yet another tragedy.
Damn
“` RIP, man! You will be missed.
Rest In Peace, Mr. Robert Schimmel – condolences to your family and friends.
Sadly, he has passed away from his injuries.
I was lucky enough to meet Bob & his Dad at channel 3 in Phoenix. He was friendly, gracious and a mench. He will be missed!
or is that perchance not actlaluy him posing in front of the captives? The last panel figure could conceivably have elf ears, and looks a bit more like Best, allowing for the tiny scale
