Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren are officially divorced, People reports. The couple both visited the Bay County Circuit Court in Panama City, Fla., today to finalize the divorce. “We are sad that our marriage is over and we wish each other the very best for the future,” Woods and Nordegren said in a statement given to People by Nordegren’s law firm. “While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us.”
The settlement was not disclosed, but sources tell People that Woods and Nordegren wanted to share custody of children Sam Alexis, 3, and Charlie Axel, 1. Rumors of divorce have been circulating since Woods became the center of a sex scandal in November.
