Bruce Willis is in talks to join Violet & Daisy, the directorial debut for Precious screenwriter Geoffrey Fletcher, according to the LA Times. The veteran joins Carey Mulligan and Saiorse Ronan in the movie, which the Times says has been described as “Thelma & Louise meets Superbad with a helping of Pulp Ficton.” Machete star Danny Trejo is also reportedly in talks for a role.
Fletcher earned an Oscar for penning Precious.
Wow. A movie with stars of stuff period dramas in the same movie with the guy who kick-started the phrase “Yippee-ki-ay, MotherF***er” and freakin’ Machete? If this movie lives up to its description, then sign me up!
