HBO unlikely to make online deal with Netflix

HBO is unlikely to partner with Netflix for streaming over the Internet and will instead focus on offering subscribers an online viewing option via HBO GO, Bloomberg reports. Eric Kessler, co-president of HBO (which, like EW, is part of Time Warner), told Bloomberg that HBO GO will be available to paying subscribers at no additional cost through all major cable systems, on Apple Inc.’s iPad, and on mobile devices in six months. Right now, HBO GO is available for customers of Comcast and Verizon FiOS.

HBO just plays the same movies over and over again. Not worth it.

Right, except they also have original television programming. So, worth it.

        Two words: Bit Torrent

For real, I can’t remember the last time I sat down and watched a movie on HBO. Only reason I subscribe is for the Original Programming. I agree, it’s worth it. But yes, Bit Torrent is another solution lol

C’mon HBO… I pay for your channels via satellite. Am I just sh!t out of luck?
Whats the big deal? Why not just partner with Netflix?

It’s pretty ridiculous that HBO, a Time Warner company, doesn’t already offer HBOGO on Time Warner Cable.

I pay for HBO through DirecTV… Am I SOL? If so, I will cancel and borrow my friends DVDs and Blu Rays.
