Lindsay Lohan's sentencing: How it might affect her upcoming projects
Lindsay Lohan’s 90-day jail sentence might set production back on some of her upcoming projects. According to the Associated Press, Matthew Wilder — the director behind the Linda Lovelace biopic Inferno — said production will be indeed be delayed, due to Tuesday’s ruling. Wilder, however, insisted he is “100 percent behind Lindsay.” “We are proud to have this remarkable artist work on our film,” he told the Associated Press. (Wilder has yet to respond to EW’s calls for comment.)
And though 20th Century Fox and director Robert Rodriguez declined to comment about how Lohan’s jail sentence might affect the marketing of their upcoming Machete, the production companies behind some of Lohan’s other possible films have admitted that the actress’ July 20 jail date might have a ripple effect behind-the-scenes. John Edmonds Kozma, one of the producers behind Bang Productions and Lost Colony Entertainment’s One Night With You, told EW that production on the film could be pushed back six months to a year, due to Lohan’s sentence. “Now it just comes down to if she could be bonded,” he says. “So things are up in the air, whether we can even make the film. It’s all pending on the outcome. We probably won’t be able to determine anything until she gets out, and see what direction she’s headed at that point.”
David Von Roehm, a producer for The Dry Gulch Kid, told EW that since Lohan was not officially cast in the film yet, the “situation has no bearing on our decisions.” Luck Films — the production company behind Dry Gulch — has no plans to offer Lohan’s role to anyone else, though. “We think she is a great actress and hope her current temporary situation is resolved in time for our production,” Roehm says.

Lindsay Lohan sentenced to 90 days in jail
An L.A. judge found Lindsay Lohan in violation of her probation today, sentencing the actress to 90 days in jail. The ruling was made during a probation hearing revolving around a missed court date in May. (Lohan claimed she had lost her passport at the Cannes Film Festival and was unable to travel back to the states to attend the court date.) Judge Marsha Revel referenced several instances involving Lohan’s 2007 DUI arrest in which she lied about possessing drugs and drinking. “It’s like someone who cheats but doesn’t think it’s cheating if they don’t get caught,” the judge said in court. Lohan’s jail sentence begins July 20. After she finishes the sentence, the actress will attend rehab.
Lindsay Lohan appears in court on time, awaits judge's decision
Lindsay Lohan arrived in an L.A. court on time for a hearing to determine whether she violated her probation last month. Sitting in the front row of the court room, the actress remained silent, while her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, and Deputy District Attorney Danette Meyers discussed whether Lohan violated her probation after her alcohol monitoring bracelet went off at a party. The prosecutor will review the file from Lohan’s treatment facility, but the hearing may be delayed as Holley has requested time to call upon witnesses who can testify regarding the monitoring bracelet’s functionality.
UPDATE: According to the AP, Judge Marsha Revel said Lindsay Lohan’s alcohol monitoring bracelet going off last month will not be considered in her probation hearing. Though the bracelet read a 0.03 blood alcohol level, Lohan and her lawyer have denied any drinking. To determine whether Lohan will face jail time, the judge will instead look at the number of alcohol education courses that actress has completed.

Netflix and indie film producer Relativity Media today announced a deal that will see Relativity movies stream directly and exclusively to Netflix during the traditional ”pay TV window.” The first movies announced as covered in the deal are The Fighter, starring Christian Bale, Mark Wahlberg, and Amy Adams, distributed by Paramount Pictures; Skyline, co-directed by the Brothers Strause, released by Rogue Pictures and Universal Studios; Rogue Pictures’ Nicolas Cage action/thriller Season of the Witch; and Movie 43, written and directed by Peter Farley. All will release later this year and stream through Netflix shortly thereafter.

Kelsey Grammer responds to Father's Day story
Kelsey Grammer took to his website yesterday to ”defend” himself against ”malicious and unfounded rumors” that his 13-year marriage to third wife Camille Donatacci Grammer hit the breaking point when he did not call or visit his children on Father’s Day. “The truth is I did call my kids that evening,” he wrote. “Frankly, I was surprised that they did not call me in the morning, but I was thousands of miles away and working that day so I didn’t give it a second thought.” Grammer is currently in New York where he is performing in Broadway’s La Cage Aux Folles; Donatacci and their kids, Mason, 8, and Jude, 5, live in Los Angeles. “I called them to see how they were doing as I do almost every night at around the same time, 11 PM my time, 8 PM their time, just before they go to bed. Mason had been upset earlier that day because she was missing me. I spoke to her for some time and reassured her that I loved her and that I would be seeing her soon.”
The went on to address reports that he had been spotted around New York kissing a young blonde — apparently, it was his 26-year-old daughter Spencer, from his first marriage. “I do take issue with the characterization that we were smooching but surely if that were the case then even I admit it might be newsworthy in some fashion,” he wrote. He also briefly discussed his divorce: “Camille and I had been discussing the possibility of a separation for some time before all this happened. She finally decided she should file. I respect her for this decision.”
