Watched show for first time last night. I don’t bother with many series, but found this episode well done and compelling. Helps that I can remember those days.

I became a fan via the DVD’s and I have been hooked since. And last nights premiere was absolutely exciting to watch. I am looking forward to see all the storyplots that will unravel themselves this season.

I like many others just watched the first 3 seasons on DVD. What a great show and now I understand why it won so many emmy’s. Best show on TV at the moment and on par with Sopranos which was also a great show.

I’ve only seen the first 4 episodes of season 1 on iTunes. I have to say the only thing that made me watch past episode 1 was all the media/Emmy attention…I didn’t find it exactly riveting television. But there was a scene at the end of episode 4 between Don and John Slattery’s character that was just primo acting! Really great stuff! I always hated Slattery in everything else I have seen him in,like ‘Ed’, but he was truly great here!

Slattery is wonderful in this role. He, honestly, makes the show worth watching sometimes.

It’s like a Time Machine, so authentic. I hope they do take show to 1969 and end at New Years 1970.

I’m in Israel and i know LOTS of people who torrented the episode to watch it. THIS is television as it was MEANT to be.

I looked forward to Madmen when I first heard about it and I watched the first season, and I have caught all the episodes to date, but unfortunately it has never lived up to the hype. The actors are wooden and the scripts (which I believe are the real problem) move to slowly with short scenes that result in little character development. Most of the characters are cardboard cutouts (Harry, Ken, Paul). And the main characters Don, Betty, Pete, and Peggy are so unlikeable killing them off would improve the show. Midge, from season 1 and Roger are the only interesting characters. The best thing about the show is the little background things that say 1960s the toys, desktop items and television show clips. Madmen was a good idea for a show, and the idea is being hailed as great tv but it is far from it. I have no axe to grid here I was just anticipating an excellent show about a period that interests me and the result was dissapointing.
