Lindsay Lohan arrived in court today — alongside attorney Shawn Chapman Holley, who has signed back on as the actress’ lawyer — in order to begin her 90-day jail sentence, which was ordered previously this month. Lohan, who is serving time for violating her probation attached to her DUI case, arrived at the courthouse among reporters — and some fans, who were carrying “Free Lindsay” signs. Following a short hearing, Lohan was handcuffed and escorted outside the courtroom. The actress will serve her sentence in the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, Calif.
UPDATE: People reports that Lohan has checked into the Century Regional Detention Facility. “She’s been extremely cooperative,” Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department spokesman Steve Whitmore told People. “She’s going to be a keep-away, meaning she’ll be kept away from the general population.”

I agree, hallelujah!!!!!! I hope she thinks about her actions and that she is still a role model to some. She needs to grow up! I wish she went to real jail instead of the paradise she is going to! I wish they would put her in gen pop, so she can find out what it’s like around REAL bulldikes instead of experimenting with that Ronson dude, but apparently that won’t happen. Either way, she might give/get gonorrhea and earn herself a guest spot on SVU.

There’s a pic on another website of her entering the court and she’s smiling at the paparazzi. If that doesn’t say it all about how messed up she is, I don’t know what does. Maybe she’ll learn to take responsibility for her actions while she’s locked up.
Uhh, what’s she supposed to do? Cry? Scream? Ever heard of smiling in the face of adversity? Maybe for once she’s decided not to give the paparazzi what they want which is a major emotional reaction.
Let’s let her be in jail, hopefully she’ll take the time to put herself on the right track whether that be regaining her momentum that’s lied dormant for 6 years or leaving Hollywood for good.

She’ll certainly stay protected, but after watching Locked Up, there are some county jails that look more dangerous than state prisons (Vegas, LA, Chicago, etc.)

Can it be true? This will be a long way from helping out Lindsey. She has the impression that she is above us all and definitely above the legal system. Don’t feel sorry for her – and no her sentence is not too harsh. Imagine if she was on the road – how many times can she be “lucky” to only hurt herself.
