Lindsay Lohan has tapped celebrity attorney Robert Shapiro—one of the defense attorneys for O.J. Simpson at his 1995 murder trial—to serve as a member of her legal team, reports People. Shapiro, who founded the sober living house that Lohan checked into earlier this week, told the magazine that he agreed to represent her ”on the condition she comply with the terms of probation, including a requirement of jail, imposed by Judge Marsha Revel.” On July 6, the troubled actress was sentenced to 90 days in jail for violating her probation.

Brad – Actually, the phrase “The pot calling the kettle black” is not racist, though I can see how that could be misconstrued. The expression dates from a time where most cookware was made of cast iron, which would eventually turn black from the heat of the stove or fire, and it simply refers to one person accusing another of behavior that they exhibit themselves. You might want to check your facts before calling people idiots.

Mr. Shapiro has now commented on Lindsay’s drug/alcohol problems as her having a disease. That’s true, but I’d be a lot more moved if LL ever made any comment indicating she believes she has a problem. You can’t begin to recover until you truly believe you have a “disease” from which to recover. I think this is the basis of her judge’s skepticism, even beyond LL’s actions.
