A source close to the production of Green Lantern tells EW that news reports today that Ryan Reynolds injured himself on the set of the comic-book adaptation on Monday are inaccurate and overblown. According to the source, Reynolds’ minor injury occurred while he was off the set training for the film, but he went back to work and production wasn’t affected at all. The film is due to hit theaters June 17, 2011.

Two stories on The Avengers movie this week (Norton out, Ruffalo in?!) and then Batman 3 production starting next April, and now an item on uber-hhotie Reynolds & the Green Lantern film (overkill boarding on Twilight like-levels)…and yet no mention of DC dropping all the hard cover trades for their Blackest Night crossover out this month. One day at a time kids, hype what fans can expect now, not what’s coming years from now. And yes, they’re books, SOME PEOPLE STILL BUY ‘EM & READ ‘EM!
You tell ‘em, Phil!
