Actor John Stamos testified today at the trial of Allison Coss and Scott Sippola, the pair who allegedly attempted to extort $680,000 from the Full House star in exchange for potentially compromising photographs, the AP reports. The attorney for the defense claimed during opening arguments that Coss was only 17 when she met Stamos, and maintained that he had brought her back to his hotel room along with two strippers and a bag of cocaine. On the stand, the actor admitted to meeting Coss in 2004, but said it never got beyond “just hanging out” and “socializing,” and Stamos’ camp categorically denied the more salacious accusations in a statement that read, “The allegations made yesterday in the courtroom by the defendants’ attorney during opening statements will not be proven because they are simply untrue.”

This really isn’t appropriate behavior for Uncle Jesse.
This is quite a shame since I heard many a tale of Mr. Stamos and his coke habits became quite frequent at the gay bars in Orlando, esp. the now closed Lava Lounge. And I’m not sure what he means by saying in the AP about how his friends took him to Orlando after her wife left him, but it was my understanding that he wasn’t there for just a few days, but a few weeks at the very least. I mean, yeah, the girl may have been 17, but I have no doubt that whatever pictures they were trying to blackmail him with are all very real, and I don’t wish him any ill will, but hey, if you’re going to be a sloppy mess in today’s society, beware of the consequences!
