Mel Gibson dropped by WME

Mel Gibson’s agent, William Morris Endeavor, has dropped the actor in light of Gibson’s recent headlines surrounding his personal life, The Hollywood Reporter reports. The actor was repped by Ed Limano, who passed away last week.

On Thursday, the actor became the target of a domestic violence case opened by the L.A. Sheriff Office. Gibson also accused ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva of trying to extort money from him by threatening to release taped recordings.

Update: EW’s Nicole Sperling confirmed the report and has more details over at Hollywood Insider.

    LOL.

I was just watching Mad Max the other day and thinking, ‘Wow, how did he morph into such a horrendous douche?’ I guess it was just easier to disguise it when he was young, charming, and handsome, and more mentally…with it. But then again, he did kinda bash homosexuals in an interview in the early 90s so there were signs.

The irony is that the head of William Morris Endeavor (Ari Emanuel) famously refused to let one of his agents forward a Navy SEALS script to Wesley Snipes because “That is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Everyone knows that blacks don’t swim”

You have to listen to the Mel Gibson tape that leaked. It is unbelievable. The girlfriend was not lying about this guy.

This is wrong when recordings are used as blackmail. Its the same thing that Alex Balwin went through! This is wrong all across the board. Lets leave it alone!

Agreed – this should have been brought out in court. It would have gone public, but it wouldn’t be such an obvious shakedown.

I guess this means he won’t be returning as Mad Max in “Fury Road.”

Crazy or not, Mel is the only one I want to see play Mad Max.

The agent’s name was Ed Limato, not Limano.

    Awww, poor ahole.

Will he blame others or… I don’t know… take responsability for whis own wrongdoings?

Back in 1968 in New York’s Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village I watched jazz man Gil Scott Heron perform with his band. He used to say this- “Whatever Goes Around Comes Around.”
