An L.A. judge found Lindsay Lohan in violation of her probation today, sentencing the actress to 90 days in jail. The ruling was made during a probation hearing revolving around a missed court date in May. (Lohan claimed she had lost her passport at the Cannes Film Festival and was unable to travel back to the states to attend the court date.) Judge Marsha Revel referenced several instances involving Lohan’s 2007 DUI arrest in which she lied about possessing drugs and drinking. “It’s like someone who cheats but doesn’t think it’s cheating if they don’t get caught,” the judge said in court. Lohan’s jail sentence begins July 20. After she finishes the sentence, the actress will attend rehab.

You obviously don’t know very much about the different prison systems. In short, the federal system is the best and it goes down hill from there. The worst and the most boring are the city jails. Think money: the feds can print it and everyone else has to actually have it. In the federal system the food is not bad, the recreation activities and libraries are not bad and the guards treat you with respect. Also federal prisoners tend to be a cut above, lots of pot growers, white collar criminals and non violent types. They absolutely do not tolerate gang related behavior.
Where Lindsay is going will not be peachy.

The LA Sheriff said woman in Lindsay’s situation typically serve 25 percent of their sentence. So you can figure she’ll do about 23 days. She does have to do the whole 90 days in rehab. Also not drinking alcohol is now part of her probation which dosen’t end until sometime in 2011. She gets caught drinking it’ll be back to jail.
Fedral prisons are NICE compared to county jails in the southeast. Calif., I don’t know. Still, jail is jail, and 23 days is long enough to think things over…….
