Jay Leno’s ratings are destructive to the tonight show. I wonder if he will get more than 7 months to prove himself?

I often watch Ferguson during this time slot (via DVR). Hard to stay up late enough to see the entire show, but I would rather he stay where he is–he is brilliant and I don’t want the network to ruin the show. It is often the highlight of my day.

Looks like its a no go for Coco at NBC.

Lowest ratings ever? Way to go Leno fans!

Right now Leno’s numbers are lower than Conan’s ever were when he host TTS, but the show costs twice as much to produce, plus the cost of the production staff. There’s already talk that Comcast will replace Leno when it takes over NBC Universal later this year.

Its getting to the point, where its like if someone put a gun to my head, I guess I would watch Letterman over Leno etc. But, Late night really doesn’t start till Kimmel and Ferguson comes on.

Out of all of the Late Night hosts Jimmy Kimmel reminds me the most of Johnny Carson…I think he has the same easy going fun style, without being overly goofy, and he lets the guests shine on his show which is what a good host should do.

His guests shine because they’re sitting next to Kimmel. He so ugly and boring, he makes lint seem exciting by comparison.

Leno and Letterman both completely suck. Craig Ferguson is the best on late night. He is hillarious and does the best interviews of any late night host. I like Conan too but Craig is still the best. Jay and Letterman need to GO AWAY!!!!

Completely unsurprising that Jimmy is seeing a boost. Like him or not (I’m somewhat impartial), he is the one that’s doing new stuff that people will talk about. When people talk about what you’re doing on your show (and not just the snipping stuff that Letterman/Leno are doing) than other people will tune in.

It doesn’t have to be good, it just has to be different.

The joke monologue opening is tired—and that goes for Leno, Letterman, Kimmel, and Fallon. The only opening that is interesting is Ferguson’s.

I watch Letterman after the monologue, when he’s behind his desk telling stories. Only he and Ferguson are entertaining without guests—and are often more entertaining than when they have guests.

    I’m not interested in ratings.

Jimmy Kimmel is a mediocre comedian at best. He has no discernable skills as a monologist or an interviewer. I find him annoying and snobbish and tiresome. Craig Ferguson has worn-out his welcome as an arrogant and bombastic host. He was interesting at first because he was different, but now he is obnoxious. Fallon has an endearing and impish quality I enjoy. Letterman is the heir to Carson for his longevity and his ability to never take anything too seriously, including mocking his own reputation. Leno is a superficial and safe comedian who attracts an audience that wants the familiar and the mundane.

I stopped watching Dave when he admitted he harassed (slept with) one of his staff. I also thought Leno boring. Hopefully women my generation who are tired of sexism can say goodbye to these old guys (like Dave) who are out of touch.

Craig Ferguson and Jimmy Kimmel are the more entertaining talk show hosts. Conan, Jay and David need to go away…

Jay has gotten stale. That is why his ratings are down.Letterman is just not funny.Craig Ferguson should replace Leno if Leno goes.
