Thieves steal clothing from 'Tonight Show' band
A wardrobe employee for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno reported Monday that dozens of jackets, shirts, and 35 pairs of shoes were stolen from a rented storage space. The items’ value totaled over $5,600. There were no signs of forced entry and the police have no suspects, according to the AP.
Al and Tipper Gore separate
According to People, Al and Tipper Gore have decided to part ways after 40 years of marriage. In a statement, the Gores claimed it was “a mutual and mutually supportive decisions that we have made together following a process of long and careful consideration.” Al and Tipper have four children.
Ted Koppel's son dead after drinking binge
The son of CBS news anchor Ted Koppel was found dead in a Manhattan apartment early Monday morning after a day of drinking, the AP reports. According to a law enforcement official, Andrew Koppel, 40, had been drinking heavily with a man he met at a bar, Russell Wimberly. Koppel was drinking whiskey and Wimberly told the NY Post that neither had eaten all day. When the two went back to the apartment owned by Wimberly’s friend, Koppel was found not breathing and Wimberly called 911. An autopsy was performed yesterday but results are still pending. No evidence so far indicates criminality.
Guy Ritchie targeted in house break-in
Employees for filmmaker Guy Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes) foiled a potential raid on his home near Salisbury, Wiltshire, England, and turned him over to the police Monday morning. Ritchie, 41, was in the house at the time of the incident but did not see the burglar. A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and was released on police bail pending further inquiries, reports People.

In an interview that will air on Tuesday’s show, the Duchess of York admits to Oprah that she was drunk — or “in the gutter,” as she reportedly says — when a video camera caught her offering private information on her former husband, Prince Andrew in exchange for money.
Arrest warrant issued for 'Survivor' producer
A Mexican judge has issued an arrest warrant for former Survivor producer Bruce Beresford-Redman in connection with the death of his wife. On April 8, Monica Beresford-Redman was found dead at the Cancun resort where the couple was vacationing. The husband, who left Mexico against the wishes of authorities after being released from detention, insists he is innocent. “I am devastated at her loss; and I am incensed at the suggestion that I could have had anything to do with her death,” Beresford-Redman says in a statement.
Former Temptations singer Ali-Ollie Woodson dies at 58
Ali-Ollie Woodson, the singer for the Temptations in the 1980s and ’90s, died on Sunday after a battle with cancer. He was 58. Woodson was not a founding member of the group, but after replacing singer Dennis Edwards in 1984, he helped end the Temptations’ dry spell on the charts, singing and co-writing the hit ”Treat Her Like a Lady.” He also sang on “Lady Soul” and “Sail Away.” READ FULL STORY »
