People reports that Poison frontman Bret Michaels is still not fully recovered from the brain hemorrhage that put him near death in late April. “While Bret may be out on the road and performing, he is still not 100 percent,” V.P. of Michaels Entertainment Janna Elias said. “He still has pain from the chemical meningitis, short term memory loss, and gets fatigued quicker than normal.” Elias also added that Michaels feels “that music is a powerful healer.”

And he still wants to come on IDOL to hear thousands of people butchering notes and screaming in his ears??? Bad idea, Brett.
Ummm… initially I felt really really bad when I heard about his brain hemmorage. Then I then I thought “how brave” when he went to the Apprentice finale…. then I saw him on American Idol, Leno, Oprah, Good Morning America, and even George Lopez-not to mention all the printed and web media interviews. Then I thought – if he cares for his daughters as much as he claims to…he would sit his arse down and heal. He dodged some major bullets – ones that would have killed other people..and he did it as a diabetic (which makes it doubly amazing). But instead of realizing his blessing, he has used it to jumpstart his career. He better chill out, stay put, and get better. Because the same blessing that was given to him can be taken away just as easily.

Brett is obviously a born performer. I doubt that he is able to sit by for long. I hope that he is not risking his health, as I was not a fan, but came to really like him on the Apprentice. But I can’t think badly of his wanting to perform. He has been doing it for a lot of years.
which does he want more.. to perform for a bunch of strangers who dont know him or care about him… or to watch his daughters grow up and help the one that has diabetes grow up to be a healthy woman. I was/and still am a fan…and as such, I would rather he be alive and healthy, than having to sit thru Rock of Love IX.
