Great to see Josh Holloway and Anna Tourv get recognized for great acting jobs… But I have a serious gripe here: Watchmen getting any awards is a complete joke. That was by far one of the worst movies, sci fi or not, that I have personally seen in years. Were there no other movies in those categories?
Disagree with you on the Watchmen slam, Mike. I’m curious — were you one of those who thought it should never be made into a movie at all, or did you just not like the way Snyder et al. did it? (I do agree with you on Holloway and Torv.) I thought some of the awards for Avatar were unwarranted: actor (seriously?), writer, music. I’d also have given a little more love to Star Trek — it made going to the movies fun again.
Um, Avatar won for writing? It’s hard enough to see it sweep the acting categories here, but writing?
How could Monsters Vs. Aliens win best animated film, in a year that we got Coraline, Fantastic Mr. Fox, and Up?
hahaha James Horner winning for best music for Avatar is nothing short of hysterical
Hahaha, Paige! Your thinking that Horner wasn’t deserving of an award for his stellar music in Avatar is nothing short of revealing of your ignorance and lack of taste! Enjoy Chipmunks 3, Einstein!
paige-
Great to see you come back to slam Horner for ripping himself off…I mean, borrowing from himself. (Oh wait, that really doesn’t sound that much better.)
I’m confused. Does anyone know why is Breaking Bad was honored by a SciFi award?
BTW – nothing wrong with the show, I just don’t know enough about the Saturns.
