ABC fires back against Nicollette Sheridan after lawsuit

Tags: , TV

ABC has hired a litigator in response to the pending harassment lawsuit filed by former Desperate Housewives Star Nicollette Sheridan, according to The Hollywood Reporter. In April, Sheridan sued Housewives creator Marc Cherry and ABC for $20 million, claiming that physical and emotional abuse led to her eventual departure from the series. ABC’s new legal help has already served Sheridan with requests for private documents related to the case and is seeking to take her deposition as soon as possible. “We intend to delve into the merits of her claims, all of which we strenuously dispute,” attorney Adam Levin told HR.

I thought I read elsewhere that Sheridan retracted her lawsuit and admitted that Cherry gave her a light slap on the face to show how a scene should be done. huh?

It sounds like it’s Nicole against everybody else involved with the show. Not very good odds.

How SHOULD a professional actor react when a higher up ( their boss ) hits them or otherwise abuses/harasses them verbally?
On a tv/film set , it really is a different work environment than an office…. seriously, sometimes it is a workplace where one has to take it , grin and bear it , cash the cheque, get out of there ….and take a self defence course after ( not there is ever ANY excuse for the alleged behavior of Cherry)
I hope she kept good records( health and other; a timeline with dates and times) and took pictures if there was any bruising . I can understand ( somewhat ) why she may have waited to file the lawsuit but still question why it took so long.

‘Entertainment’ is an industry you have to be prepared to walk away from . There are so many variables that are not in one’s control….

I hope she gets all 20 million. The show blows since she was fired. Marc Cherry is a gutless
