Josie Duggar, the youngest member of 19 Kids and Counting‘s clan, is returning from the hospital, People reports. This was the baby’s second trip to the hospital after being born Dec. 10, weighing just 1 lb., 6 oz.

There does come a time when you have to say enough is enough. Big families are one thing but this one is waaaaaaaay out of control.
God is in control of how many children they have. Nothing is out of control here. I suppurt them all the way.
God also gave them a brain for thinking. So using God as an excuse for having literally a truckload of children well into your 40s when you already know the risk associated with having kids at an advanced age isn’t gonna fly.
Who are you to judge these people. Karma will come back to haunt you an eye for an eye. I love michelle duggar if you don’t like her show then don’t watch it duh. Why are you so obessed with her? Cause your jealous. Some of you need to get a life for real.
You make me sick! My mother lost a child; you have NO idea how heartbreaking it is for a family to lose a child! And what did this tiny baby (or this family, for that matter) ever do to you to wish death to a tiny baby? You people make me sick but, as my husband says, “It takes all kinds, including nuts like you, to make a world.”
Apparently Josie’s health problems did not send any kind of message to Jim Bob and Michelle…I just read an article that said they are ready to consider number 20…are you kidding me.
if they were more responsible and didn’t have kids since the last ones were already born premature, it would be smart for them to not have any more kids. it is just like someone that has twins or triplets and then they don’t have any more kids because they are afraid of having another set of twins or triplets. it is called being responsible and caring for your own kids. this new born child might be diagnosed with a syndrome just because their parents decided to have another kid so people would still watch their show and pay attention to them!
If you watch the show at all you will see that they don’t just have kids to keep people watching their show. And as someone who does watch it, I don’t tune it just to see if Michelle is pregnant again. I love to see how they interact and treat each other with love and respect. I want to learn from them – if they can do it with 19, I can do it with 12. They have their own businesses that they run, so they are not out their to exploit their kids for the money. Even the crew says in interviews that they are genuine, good caring people that really love their kids and take great care of them.
HA! I mean TWO. I have TWO kids, not 12! (But if I thought I could do it as well as they do, I wouldn’t rule it out!)
First of all, which other child was born premature? I watch the show and, as far as I know, all were born healthy. Secondly, they do take care of their own. My tax dollars do not feed them, pay for their health care, etc. I have a problem with welfare mommies who keep making babies so that the government can take care of them and then get a $5,000 tax refund during tax season. This enrages me; so leave the Duggar family alone! They are financially responsible. Just curious: Are you one of those “welfare mommies?
Is there anyone grosser than human incubator Josie Duggar? Imagine spending 19 year of your life pregnant. People act as if this is something admirable when in actuality is suggests a very vapid person with absolutely nothing going on in her life. Isn’t it great that she put 19 future misfits on the planet? Maybe her kids can hang out with Octomom’s kids. Don’t even get me started on her Elmer Fudd husband.

The babies’ name is Josie (all of the kids have names that start with J), the mother’s name is Michelle Duggar. And yes, she needs to stop having kids before this happens again.
I don’t know why, but the fact that all the kids’ names begin with “J” just makes me want to punch these parents. You know that they think it’s “precious” that they did that.
The fact of the matter is they are done. They ran out of J names. These people are a bit odd at the very least.
Strange, I don’t consider kids who grow up learning to be debt-free, volunteer, play instruments, work hard, make good grades and love others misfits. I call those people productive members of society.
I’m concerned about the health of the mother and the child, 19 pregnancies is a lot of strain on a woman’s body. And the older she gets and her more her health declines the more likely it is that she will have to give birth premature which can mean mental and physical deformities, not to mention miscarriages. It would be better for her and her children to make sure Josie is the las.
so which of the bazillion kids is going to be given the job of taking care of the poor thing. Lord knows those 2 idiot parents aren’t interested in caring for any of their kids. Why else would they insist on having more and more and more and more and more and more and more??
I wouldn’t call them idiots by assuming they do not have interest in caring for their kids. If having a lot of children is what they want to do and they think they can handle it (which it seems pretty clear that there is a lot of love in that family) then they can do whatever they want.
i DO however wonder when they’re going to realize that enough is enough and when they are going to realize that the strain on Michelle is not worth another child.
Oh for pete’s sake – it does not take a genius to clue into the fact that these 2 people ARE idiots for having so many children. They are NOT able to give all of these children what they need and for them to insist on continuing this nonsense is beyond idiotic.
I would be willing to say that these two parents do a better job of caring for their kids than 90% of parents in America. Yes there are a lot of them, but they are all very well adjusted, sweet, caring, hard working intelligent kids who love each other and are willing to pitch in to help with the little ones. All older siblings know what it’s like to have to help with their younger brothers or sisters – and if you watch the show, you will see they let the ones who like baby sitting take on those tasks, and the ones who like other chores do that instead. It works for them!

I only have two kids and when they are playing down the street I whistle for them, and I don’t consider that bad parenting. What makes Jim Bob an idiot? The fact that he provides for his family, teaches his kids to behave and respect others, sucessfully runs more than one business at a time and still manages to volunteer on a regular basis? I don’t call that an idiot. I call that a pretty decent guy.
These people have turned their life over to God, raise upstanding, respectful, happy children, earn their own money, don’t ask the government for a handout and all you people can do is knock them down. What a bunch of negative, whiney people! If you don’t want to see them then don’t watch the show but, then again, maybe you will all learn some common courtesy and respect if you do.

Thank you for the positive comment. One thing for sure, you would never see them or their children back-biting people the way everyone here has been doing. Maybe if some of the individuals would take the time to find out a little more about the Duggars and their life philosophy they wouldn’t be so quick to judge. They are raising Godly children who not only show respect to their parents, but to their siblings, too. Take a look around at our world today…I think we need more parents who care for their children like Michelle and Jim Bob. As for their show…it is one of the only “clean” family oriented reality shows on television. Amazing to me that in today’s world, people choose to put down those who are raising respectful kids, teaching great work ethics to those kids as they grow and are debt free!

I couldn’t agree more Cecelia! Linda, I can’t imagine that you have ever watched the show because if you have you would not be calling them intolerant or over-righteous. They are community volunteers and they have been taught to love others without juding which is more than I can say for some of the folks posting here. Sure it’s not a common family life, but I can tell you it’s more successful than most of us will ever lead.
Cecelia, some of these people probably have unruly children and probably get government handouts and have no pride in themselves, whatsoever. These people do this to make themselves feel better about themselves.

How disgusting. nothing like overpopulating the already crowded world. Leaving a carbon footprint like Yeti.I NEVER watch the show(?) just think this kind of behavior is grossly negligent.
So if you never watch the show how can you feel comfortable judging these people. As for their carbon footprint, they do WAY more to help the planet than most people do, including only purchasing used goods, and always carpooling (for obvious reasons). If you watched the show you would see that they are really great people who do A TON of community service and do NOT judge others for the way they choose to live. That is the way we should all try to act.
Everyone is entitled to thier own opinion but I would bet almost any that a lot of the negative comments are from Repulicans. Seems to me they are over interested in what people do in thier own bedrooms, like their general dislike of gays. Why should it be anyone business? All of you would be very upset if some one came up to you and told you ‘don’t do that’. I say to mind your own business and let other mind theirs.

Wow… you guys are all insanely unfair. This family hasn’t done anything wrong. They aren’t a cult. They are raising children that are well rounded and well taken care of. They work for what they have. There isn’t anything wrong with having that many children if you’re able to take care of them all, which they can.

It saddens me to hear such comments from a bunch of Godless people. Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand! You all need Christ Jesus in your life to show you how ridiculous you all sound. This family is doing what they think is right for them, just as you do what you think is right for you. If your life was televised, you too would be criticized about what you are doing right or wrong. Only God (Our Creator) can be the judge of what we have done in our lives when we die. We will face our judgement when we die! But, there’s a chance to ask God for forgiveness and allow him to change our sinful ways. Cap, your choice to be gay is why you have such animosity towards people who have children. You will not be able to procreate like God intended and that is a sin and atrocity to the Creator. But, like all the comments above, it’s my opinion, but it counts just as much as yours does!
