She is the ultimate classic beauty of old Hollywood. With Ava, Lana & Garbo. A lady is the only way to describe Miss Horne. With deepest sympathy to her family & close friends. Thank you for the memories.

One of my favorite things on TV when I was really young was Lena Horne and Kermit the Frog’s duet on “Being Green” Absolutely amazing

That’s right, I had totally forgotten about that!

Very classy lady, in a world that seems to lack that. She will be missed.

The original Honeysuckle Rose. A graceful woman with incomparable talent. Bless her family.
There is a video on YOU TUBE with Lena appearing on Judy garland’s show. It’s pretty cool. I actually remember the show, although I was just a kid.

Truly one of a kind. My mother worshipped her and I grew up listening to that legendary voice and admiring that legendary beauty. She truly paved the way for all black perfomers. RIP, Ms. Horne, you made the world a better place.

I remember Lena Horne in “Stormy Weather” and the song in it that she made famous. Enjoyed her on “The Cosby Show” many times and how she charmed Dr.Huxtable on his birthday. But my favorite memory is how she toatlly enchanted and flustered the black journalist who
“Sixty Minutes” sent to interview her-I want to say Ben Bradley ,but that could be wrong. She as usual just SPARKLED with fire and wit!
This world will be a little more subdued without her SPIRIT and FLARE!I will miss seeing that beautiful face on the screen every now and then!
    An old fan
