Singer Taylor Swift is donating $500,000 to flood relief efforts in Nashville, according to the Associated Press. The donation will go to several different organizations that are working to restore damage in the city, which was ravaged by storms and flooding. (Twenty people died in Tennessee; 30 in three states.) Swift’s donation was announced during Thursday night’s telethon, Flood Relief with Vince Gill and Friends.

What a great gesture by Taylor, donating that money to worthy causes. Hopefully in return one of those victims can donate singing lessons to Ms. Swift, another worthy cause

I am with Bella! So rude! Taylor is a classy young lady who donated her own hard-earned money to a worthy cause. I also happen to think she is a fun musician…her notes aren’t always pitch perfect, but I am always bopping along to her songs! Who cares if she’s no Andrea Bocelli?
I don’t care if you think she can sing or not, the story isn’t about that. It’s about her generosity – something other celebrities could take lessons on. I’m thankful that today’s children have a great role model like Taylor Swift.

Very generous donation that Taylor Swift gave to Nashville flood relief! I’m sure that she was on tour the time that the flood occured and she must have been moved by the images and TV coverage to donate a massive amount.
