David Hyde Pierce — along with playwright Alan Ayckbourn and actress Marian Seldes — will be awarded with special Tonys this year, Variety reports. Ayckbourn and Seldes will receive lifetime achievement awards, while Pierce will pick up the Isabelle Stevenson Award for his work with the Alzheimer’s Association.

Heather Locklear arrested for hit-and-run
Heather Locklear was arrested early Saturday morning for a misdemeanor hit-and-run after she hit a no-parking sign near her home in Ventura County, Calif. and drove away from the scene, People reports. A neighbor heard the noise around 4 a.m. and when police arrived, they traced the debris back to Locklear’s black 2005 BMW. The actress, who is currently serving a three-year probation after pleading no contest to reckless driving following her Sept. 2008 DUI arrest, is set to appear in court May 17. It is unclear at this point if alcohol was involved. Locklear’s lawyer, via her publicist, told EW: “Ms. Locklear was cited with a misdemeanor traffic ticket as she is the registered owner of the vehicle. She was never taken into custody. The matter is still being looked into as it is not yet clear who was driving the vehicle.”
Rihanna briefly hospitalized after Zurich concert
Rihanna was taken to a private clinic in Zurich, Switzerland following her concert Monday night, MTV UK reports. The cause was unknown, but the singer was released three hours later and continued on her “Last Girl on Earth” tour, playing to a sold-out crowd in Lyon, France last night. She begins the North American leg of her tour in July with Ke$ha.

Tara Reid cancels May wedding to entrepreneur
Actress Tara Reid has called off May plans to walk down the aisle with entrepreneur Michael Axtmann, who she’d become engaged to over dinner in Los Angeles in January. The actress released the following statement to People: “Tara Reid has confirmed that she will not be moving forward with her May 22 nuptials.” No further explanation was given for the wedding’s cancellation.
Cantor Fitzgerald gains U.S. approval for box office stock market
Cantor Fitzgerald has gotten approval to move ahead with its planned market for trading movie box-office futures, Bloomberg reports. The market would be like a real-life Hollywood Stock Exchange where investors can buy and sell stock based on how well a given film will do. While the proposed exchange was contested by some Hollywood execs, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission voted to allow its creation.
Son of Michael Douglas sentenced to five years in jail
Michael Douglas’ son was sentenced today to five years in prison on drug charges, Reuters reports. Cameron Douglas, 31, was arrested last July at Manhattan’s Gansevoort Hotel for possession of heroin and dealing both methamphetamine and cocaine. He pleaded guilty to those charges in January. In a letter written to the judge, the actor had asked for leniency for his son, stating, “I have some idea of the pressure of finding your own identity with a famous father. I’m not sure I can comprehend it with two generations to deal with.”
New charge brought against John Stamos extortion pair
A new charge has been filed against the two people who allegedly attempted to extort money from John Stamos in exchange for photographs taken at a 2004 party in Florida, the AP reports. Scott Sippola and Allison Coss are accused of using interstate commerce to make a threat, which is why the charge was brought by federal prosecutors, when they demanded $680,000 from the actor in order to prevent them from selling the photos.
'Harold & Kumar' star, Kal Penn, robbed at gunpoint in D.C.
As TMZ first reported, actor Kal Penn was robbed at gunpoint in Washington, D.C., early this morning, his rep confirmed. The 32-year-old star of the 2004 stoner comedy Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle and its 2008 sequel has been working in the capital for the Obama administration. The D.C. police confirmed a robbery at 1:20 A.M. on the 1500 block of S Street to EW. The actor was accosted by a gunman, who walked up to him and took a wallet and other belongings. Penn gave up his role on the TV show House last year to take the position of an associate director in the White House’s Office of Public Engagement. He is scheduled to star in a third Harold & Kumar film later this year.
'Bachelor' star Bob Guiney's wife files for divorce
All My Children actress Rebecca Budig has filed for divorce from her husband of five years, Bachelor star Bob Guiney, citing irreconcilable differences, according to People. The couple, who split in January, have no children.
