Heather Locklear was arrested early Saturday morning for a misdemeanor hit-and-run after she hit a no-parking sign near her home in Ventura County, Calif. and drove away from the scene, People reports. A neighbor heard the noise around 4 a.m. and when police arrived, they traced the debris back to Locklear’s black 2005 BMW. The actress, who is currently serving a three-year probation after pleading no contest to reckless driving following her Sept. 2008 DUI arrest, is set to appear in court May 17. It is unclear at this point if alcohol was involved. Locklear’s lawyer, via her publicist, told EW: “Ms. Locklear was cited with a misdemeanor traffic ticket as she is the registered owner of the vehicle. She was never taken into custody. The matter is still being looked into as it is not yet clear who was driving the vehicle.”

Ironic, since jail is where they may have to go to shoot Heather’s scenes now anyway, if the show, is by some miracle, picked up..

Maybe I’m a terrible person, but if I were to only do minor damage like that, I’m not going to sit around for an hour…at 4:00a….waiting for a cop to show up and take a report. I could be stone cold sober, and I’m still going to take off and get home to bed. And let’s face it, there are a million and one reasons besides drugs and alcohol that could have forced her to hit that sign…simple fatigue…some kind of animal running in front of the car…but because of her history everyone jumps to the conclusion that she was drunk.
She hasn’t been the same, since her divorce from richy sambora. It’s like she just doesn’t want to continue living or something. It’s just a shame.
Fernando, keep dreaming as MP is about to get the boot real soon and even she couldn’t save this show and now this situation happening can only seal its fate.
Why don’t the cops go see if they can find a rapist or a murderer instead of persecuting a misdemeanor? Oh, because there’s more media in arresting and prosecuting a woman who hit a frigging street sign. Way to spend taxpayer money.
