While speaking at The New York Women in Communications Matrix Awards Monday, Oprah Winfrey briefly talked about Oprah, the “so-called biography” Kitty Kelly released last week, People reports. Presenting an award to Gayle King, the talk show maven said her best pal “sometimes cares about my life more than I do,” recalling that last week was “a rough one” for King, because a “so-called biography came out.” “Gayle got herself worked out with all my new daddies coming out,” Winfrey said, referring to a section in Kelly’s book that claims Vernon Winfrey isn’t the talk show host’s biological father. “This, too, shall pass.”

She’s an Editor-At-Large for O Magazine… one of the few still successful publications in the market now.
She also has a radio show on Oprah’s XM station. She’s actually really good on it. She may be her friend but that doesn’t mean she isn’t a good interviewer.
That’s right. She may have the weathiest best friend in the world but as she says that doesn’t mean she has to work! Her radio show is very good, she’s very personable and does ask the hard questions when she needs to.
Oprah complains about her dirty laundry being aired without her permission, on the exact same day she allows Mo’Nique’s dirty laundry to be aired without HER permission.
Actually, Monique gave her blessing to the interview.
If you had watched the show to which you’re referring, TJ, you would see that she indicated that Monique gave her blessing for the interview. Maybe you and Kitty Kelly should get together and share all the half truths you know and write a book
I knew Oprah back from her early days on Channel 5 in Nashville and believe me, there are plenty of dirty little secrets in that family.
Oprah was o’k until she started in with all her touchy-feely crap. she became a totally self-absorbed nut. Even when she “gives back,” it’s all about her….always….

Why even dignify the existence of the book?
Kitty Kelly knows how to write a book that is fun and easy to read. I’ve read others of hers and am currently reading “Oprah”. It is a terrific read about a woman who has worked very hard to conceal much of her life. Since she used a lot of Oprah’s own words and doesn’t try to reach outlandish conclusions it also reads as closer to the truth than not. I’m quite enjoying it!
Why should oprah care about people say. People know that they can get rich by just calling her name. And most of all we all have dirty secrets.
Kitty Kelly is a good author who does an incredible job of researching her subjects.
Her book on Sinatra also came to idle threats from the crooner but no action was taken because it was all true as we’ll find with Oprah’s biography.
I used to love Oprah, but about 10 years ago I noticed a real change in her. She seemed very fake, like she did not really like her audience, and claiming that she gave the cars away, and she donated money when it was all given to her through other companies. She has not really done squat with her money to help people, and I do believe that she detests her core believers. And the book was a real depiction of her….everyone should read it. SHe really does believe that she is devine nad above everyone else on the planet. She reminds me of Trump who also has to have his name on everything. I can hardly wait until she retires. Seriously, Oprah baby, we DON’T give a crap about you and your bloated ego.
What is upsetting about Oprah is that whatever the topic is, she ALWAYS becomes an “expert” on it. For instance, she has no right to make smart assed comments about Octomom, and how to raise her children, when she gave her baby girl away years ago! That is a subject that NEVER gets brought up. Oprah has dirt, and plenty of it. As far as Gayle King is concerned, she would have NO career if it were not for Oprah. She has had SEVERAL opportunities that she couldn’t pull off. For instance that God-forsaken talk show that was an absolute boring flop! Long story short-OPRAH AND GAYLE SHOULD NOT JUDGE!!!!

Oprah has a big head! The only money she spends is on herself, and a few AFRICAN schools. All of the money is from sponsors. What i am most tired of hearing about from her is her weight issues. I swear to God, ….If you have her money, and her hired help, you can accomplish a lot! She claims that “she still has to do the work” But if shes working so hard, why is she still so large? She still has the same round pie-face and ass we’ve been looking at for years. Some people are impressed by her. I,…AM NOT!
