'Jon & Kate Plus 8' producers won't be charged for labor complaints

Filed under: News and tagged: ,

The Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry decided not to file charges against the producers of TLC’s Jon & Kate Plus 8, who were being investigated for violating child labor laws, People reports. The court mandated last month but made public today that from now on, the producers must secure child permits if they want to film the kids and that a percentage of profits must be placed in their trust fund. Kate’s brother and sister-in-law were due in court today to speak out against the show, while state lawmakers are reviewing child labor laws for film and TV. Jon tweeted: “The allegations made today by Kevin and Jodi Kreider have not been my experience at all during the production of Jon & Kate Plus 8.”

Kate NEEDS to get OUT of PA! They are extremely backwards there (I KNOW-I lived there for 20 yrs) and she will never be happy there. She and her kids need to go to Calif. and leave all the losers behind! She is SO talented and beautiful, personable. I say YOU GO TLC with promoting Kate – we LOVE her and her kids!! I will watch ALL her shows and read her book ! Never mind her A-hole of an EX and her even bigger A-hole of a CREEP SIL, and brother, who need to get their OWN LIVES .

Hang in there Kate – we love you!
