Tom Jones cancels concerts in Asia due to illness

Filed under: News and tagged:

Tom Jones canceled his Thursday concert in Singapore due to doctors’ orders, according to the 69-year-old singer’s website. The singer, best known for the hit song “It’s Not Unusual,” also had to cancel Friday and Saturday’s shows in Seoul. Jones began performing a concert last Friday at Singapore’s brand new Resorts World Sentosa casino, but had to leave the stage after just two songs. The singer was suffering from “acute laryngitis,” according to his site, and the canceled performance was rescheduled for tonight. However, according to Jones’ doctors, he “could risk serious permanent damage to his vocals” by performing at this time. Jones’ website did not say if and when the show would be rescheduled.
