Kelsey Grammer settles lawsuit for only $10

Kelsey Grammer settled a lawsuit with a screenwriter claiming the actor stole his idea and turned it into the film Swing Vote. Total price tag for the settlement: $10. Bradley Blakeman, who formerly worked for President George W. Bush, alleged he gave Grammer a copy of his script Go November, which he claims bears narrative similarities to the 2008 comedy which also starred Kevin Costner. After the judge threw out his other claims against Costner and Disney, Blakeman agreed to receiving only a sawbuck from Grammer. “He basically got nothing,” says Paul Mayersohn, Grammer’s attorney. “Lawyers just like to have nominal sums in there for whatever reason. When I was a kid it was $1, but now it’s $10. I guess it’s inflation.”
