Glenn Beck reacts to Jon Stewart impersonation

Fox News host Glenn Beck did see Jon Stewart’s all-inclusive impersonation of him (tics, mannerisms, agenda, you name it) on last night’s Daily Show. “It was hilarious. But even Jon Stewart can’t make fun of me as well as I can make fun of me,” Beck’s rep told EW on behalf of the Fox News host.

Ivanka Trump 'Internet stalker' arrested

27-year-old Reno resident Justin Massler was arrested on a New York warrant for stalking Celebrity Apprentice star Ivanka Trump, 28, over the Internet, according to the Los Angeles Times. On his blog, Massler described himself as “a celebrity stalker who is obsessed with Ivanka Trump.” Reno police Lt. Mike Whan told the Associated Press that Massler “has been doing postings all over the Internet,” but has never had any physical or face-to-face interaction with Trump. As of Thursday, Massler remained without bail in the Washoe County Jail in Reno.

Icahn launches bid for all of Lionsgate

Billionaire Carl Icahn offered to buy all the shares of Lionsgate today in a hostile takeover attempt that comes just as the studio bids to buy MGM. Icahn, who already owns 18.9 percent of the company, has been “a longtime critic of Lionsgate’s use of cash” and “has said the film company should allow its shareholders to approve such an acquisition before going forward,” according to the Wall Street Journal. Lionsgate rejected Icahn’s earlier attempt to buy a 30 percent stake in the company.

Roman Polanski's attorneys file appeal to examine alleged misconduct

Roman Polanksi’s lawyers filed an appeal Thursday asking that a special counsel be assigned to investigate alleged judicial and prosecutorial misconduct in his original case, The Associated Press reports. They claim former Deputy District Attorney Roger Gunson, Polanski’s prosecutor over 30 years ago, has testified that he tried to disqualify the judge, now-deceased Superior Court Judge Lawrence Rittenband, in 1977, but his supervisors prevented him from filing the paperwork after consulting with Rittenband. Rittenband’s alleged misconduct was his “alleged intention to use a 90-day ‘diagnostic study’ in state prison as a complete sentence for Polanski although that section of the penal code was not intended to be used for sentencing,’” AP says.

Ratings: Basketball dunks the competition, 'FlashForward' fizzles

Did you fill out a bracket? The rest of America did, with March Madness basketball sweeping the ratings for Thursday night. FlashForward‘s return? Not so flashy: its two-hour spring premiere was down about half a million viewers from its fall finale, and it lost another half million between its first and second half-hour. NBC comedies were relatively stable, and 30 Rock saw a major uptick — 6.9 is its biggest audience in months.

Tiger Woods drives 'South Park' ratings

The season premiere of South Park, which featured Tiger Woods and his wife, Elin, in a foul-mouthed parody of celebrity sex addiction, drew 3.7 million viewers, making it the most watched South Park premiere since 1999. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Comedy Central’s Wednesday night, which also featured the series premiere of Ugly Americans, was the network’s most-watched night of the year.

Christoph Waltz to direct 'Up and Away'

Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds) will make his feature directing debut with Up and Away, a German-language romantic comedy set around a dating game-show. The Los Angeles Times reports the Austrian actor, who’s previously directed German television programs, co-wrote the script and may also play a supporting role in the film. Before he gets behind the camera for Up and Away, however, Waltz will appear onscreen in The  Green Hornet and film Water for Elephants.

Beau Bridges joins NBC's 'Rockford'

Beau Bridges will play Dermot Mulroney’s father in NBC’s Rockford Files remake. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bridges will tackle the gruff, truck-driving paternal role originally portrayed by actor Noah Beery Jr. Mulroney plays Jim Rockford, the rascal private investigator famously played in the 1970s by James Garner.

Jennifer Lopez open to jumping 'Overboard'

Jennifer Lopez is in talks to star in a remake of the 1987 comedy, Overboard. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lopez would play the role of the wealthy, snobbish woman who suffers amnesia while on a yacht. Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell starred in the original.

Cesar Chavez biopic in the works

Hotel Rwanda cowriter Keir Pearson and producer Larry Meli have optioned the rights to make a feature film about the life of Cesar Chavez, the Mexican-American who co-founded the National Farm Workers Association, which later became the United Farm Workers of America. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Pearson will write the script, and produce the film with Meli for Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna’s Canana Films.
