Rip Torn was released Monday from the alcohol treatment center where he had been rehabilitating since last month, when he drunkenly broke into a Connecticut bank with a loaded revolver. Reuters reports that the actor, 79, pleaded not guilty to burglary and criminal trespassing, among other charges, and has argued that he mistook the bank for his own home. His lawyer says they expect a “resolution” to this ongoing saga at the next court hearing, scheduled for April 27.
