The AP is reporting that Nadya Suleman – aka ”Octomom” - could lose her Southern California home because her father hasn’t kept up payments on her $565,000 mortgage. The home in La Habra was signed over last year to Suleman’s father Ed, who was supposed to pay about $4,000 a month plus a final balloon payment of $450,000 this year. The family was reportedly late on recent payments and also missed the balloon payment so the mortgage holder is starting foreclosure proceedings.
Suleman, who is unmarried, made international news in January 2009 when she gave birth to octuplets. She already has six older children.
I hope Octomom looses the house because she didn’t work to help pay for it….she is on government assistance and the taxpayers are footing her bills. She should be made to live in Section 8 housing like the rest of the government moochers.
Unfortunately, wishing ill to the octomom is wishing ill on her children, who are innocent. Wishing her to be evicted means you hope the kids have no home because unfortunately they suffer any negativity that is bestowed on to their mom. Let’s remember that when we all start wishing for bad things to happen to the octomom. No matter what we might feel against her, her kids are innocent bystanders and the deserve to be together and in a safe home.
Since you’re such a bleeding heart, why don’t you come up with the dough to bail her out so she and her kids can stay in the house. Her kids need to be taken from her and put into homes where they are well taken care of and she need to be put in the NUT house.

Yes, this woman is nuts and the best thing for her children is for her to lose them. The tabloids and shows that continue to pay her monies, need to stop. All they are doing is delaying the time when she gives up at least some of her kids. Have you listened to this woman talk? She is absolutely crazy. I also read somewhere that she dropped a grand on makeup. Add that to the money spent on plastic surgery and god knows what else, and you can see this women is just an opportunist who, if she truly does care about her kids, needs to stay her behind home and care for them. She has Eight kids under 2 years old, I know people who never left their kids until they were about 4 or 5 and they only had 1! Actually I have no idea why I’m writing about this idiot.
Every dime of the money she’s already been given “for the sake of the kids” has gone for designer clothes on HER back and for plastic surgery for HER: tummy tuck, butt lift, new breast implants, lip fillers, botox, etc. What makes you think anything more you give will go to those kids now? She’s a bottomless pit who spends it all on herself. Save your money and your sympathy for people who deserve it.
Very few children are “better off” in foster care. That’s kind of a “let them eat cake” statement for you to make, and shows that you have absolutely no clue what you’re talking about. The rampant hostility people like seem willing to show toward INNOCENT CHILDREN is really disturbing.
Whether or not children are better off in foster care depends a lot on their home life. This woman is crazy, she clearly isn’t responsible enough to have a cat, much less 12 children. I think it’s disturbing that somebody like you want the children to stay in this house horrors.

I never stated at any time that I “want the children to stay in this house horrors” (whatever that means; and curious, considering you do not reside with this family). I am, however, intimately familiar with the foster care system. Ripping this family, such as it is, completely apart may satisfy your and others’ sanctimonious need to punish this woman for something, but in reality it would only be punishing those children, who asked for none of this. I did not say they should stay or go – I happen to more than realize I have no place appointing myself the arbiter of such things -I simply took issue with a poster’s flippant assertion that these children would be “better off” separated into the foster care system.
You have a point but keep in mind those kids are already in a terrible situation as their sole care provider is this woman who has spent tens of thousands of dollars on designer clothes but hasn’t tried to keep up with the mortgage payments to keep a roof over the kids’ heads. They will never be safe until they are in homes where they are appreciated and loved.
Personally i hope to read that she has lost the house, because if she is homeless there’s no way CPS will let her keep the kids. Then they will have real lives and won’t just be her imagined tickets to fame and fortune.
Though I am not familiar with section 8 housing (must be an American thing), I have been down on my luck and struggled. Your attitude about government assistance is what keeps people down. I thought of it as a hand up rather than a hand out. It got me back on track even while battling ignorant naysayers who were at every turn telling me “no, you deserve what has happened to you.” It is demoralizing and I hope you , oh high and mighty one do not have to “mooch” off the government anytime soon because you are not ready for the BS.
I think so many people’s frustration with Nadya Sulman taking govt. assistance is 1) she had these 8 children when she couldn’t even support the 6 she had, & 2) from what the public knows (who knows if it’s true or not) she makes no effort to get herself out of this financial situation & off govternment assistance. I agree that govt. assistance should be seen as a hand up & not a hand out, but when people like Ms. Sulman take advantage of that assistance and make little efforts to use that hand up to give her & her family some breathing room while she tries to make her life better & become self-sufficient, it perpetuates a negative view on govt. assistance (& the people who need it) as a whole.
I agree, a lot of people have turned to government assistance in times of need, and use it as a legitimate temporary solution. They bounce back, and the government provides them with that opportunity.
Octomom is not doing that. She is NOT trying to be self-sufficient in any way, shape, or form. She’s a drain on the already economically dire State of California, and like Leslie said, perpetuating a negative view on government assistance.

Like you i am currently on govt assistance (unemployment pay and medicaid for my child) Many people are in such a situation and should not be ashamed. HOWEVER, the woman in question is on such assistance by choice and has never shown a desire to earn money herself.
-She had her 14 children through several IVF procedures paid for by a fraud worker’s compensation claim and student loans (this money is supposed to be used for school fees and housing while in school)
-She lived with her retired mother with her first 6 children and never helped with mortgage payments even with her celebrity money until her mom finally lost the house
-She collects disability pay for more than a couple of her kids and food stamps for all of them, yet shops retail at the mall and wears designer clothes, designer sunglasses, gets frequent mani-pedi’s and is frequently photographed carrying a Starbuck’s cup
-Although for her age she is only supposed to get 1 egg implanted during IVF procedures, she deliberately and immorally got 11 implanted… then lied to the public about it and said there were only 6 but two split into sets of identical twins… funny but no 2 of the octuplets look alike!
-Delivery of the octuplets cost the hospital over $2 million of which she did not pay a dime and never attempted to pay them back
-She did sue the hospital after a couple workers were caught looking into her files out of curiosity. The workers were fired in what was already a terrible economy, god bless their families. The hospital was also fined a hefty sum and she made out like a queen.
These are just a very few of the many examples of dishonesty and selfishness this woman has shown. Do a little research and you’ll find out.
in the US apparently, even with kids, you are only allowed in government assistance for like 2 years and then you are cut off. HOW DO YOU THINK she’s raising all those kids? you think the gov is helping??? yeah right. ok. ignoramus. how about you learn what you are talking about b4 commenting.

Her father was last said to be doing contract translation work in Iraq. Arabic translaters can earn upwards of $100,000 a year doing this type of work. However, as you said clearly the payments are not being made.

I agree….I think she thought that getting a TV reality show would not only foot the bills but to give her some extra money to spend on herself. Apparently, her father had money but not enough to keep paying the monthly payment on the house. I say remove the children from this unfit mother and let them be adopted and raised in a normal environment. She is only going to drag them down with her. When I saw her picture a few months ago partying in a nightclub, my first thought was “what fools we all are to feel sorry for her” when in fact, she probably had this planned all along. Albeit she didn’t know she was going to have octopulets but she was smart enough to know that if you have a lot of kids, the State & Goverment will help out.

The main concern here should be for those poor kids. Who in their right mind would chose to have 14 children! I feel it is time for Children’s Services to step in and do what is best for those poor little kids. I can’t imagine that they are being looked after properly. There is no reason this woman needs to be living in a half a million+ home, I don’t care how many kids she has. Many people with large families manage to reside successfully in small residences. If she is not working, she will need to learn to make do with standard housing, perhaps a 3 bedroom section 8 apartment. That is, until her father can buy her a new house or her babies father coughs up more child support. Or she could try working, like everyone else? I”m not suggesting her kids be homeless, just that they live somewhere she can afford.

I know he’s been kicked out, but why isn’t the doctor who caused this also helping to pay? He did this looking for kudos I’m sure. How come know one in this situation seemed to have realized that if the pregnancy went to term there would be a whole bunch of kids at once to care for? Or were they all hoping for reality success? Not one of those people have a brain between them and those children are going to be in a freak show their whole lives. I wish someone could take them away and care for them properly and privately to give them a chance.
The person(s) who are to be blamed for this mess is primarily the ethically bereft doctor who fertilized her, the sperm donor, and finally the deranged mother! Did anyone think about what they were doing? Who was going to support her and pay for clothes, food, shelter, etc for her and the kids? The doctor is at fault above all else, and I hope his license has been permanently revoked and a fine levied upon him. What a travesty – those kids don’t have a chance.
Listen, do you think for a second that if the government rolled back and stopped every single social program that YOUR tax bill would decrease by a dime? The fact of the matter is that out of every single dollar of taxes collected a fraction of a penny goes to supporting the destitute, however, %20 of that money goes to pay off corporate subsidies and voer %40 of that dollar goes to military spending. So when you complain about an irresponsible woman who decided to have 14 kids and how its a drain to society, the majority of your taxes are being wasted on things like troops in Japan and Germany 60 years after the war is over and tax breaks so corporations can ship jobs overseas to India so they dont have to pay YOU a decent wage. We need to start being passionate and angry about the things that really affect us instead of obsessing over all these straw men (abortion, gay marriage, etc.).
*APPLAUSE* But you left out the fact that they’re also the ones, when a woman wants to legally abort a child she’s unable to support financially or otherwise, who are shrieking the loudest about stopping the baby-killers at all costs. Guess what? My tax money goes to support a crapload of stuff I don’t like, support or want. Obviously, they myth of the mighty tax dollar supporting the poor and hungry is alive and well -when it’s a well-known fact that “welfare” spending takes up the tiniest speck inside the proverbial drop in the bucket of state and federal tax allocation. Nobody takes to the message boards to complain about “their” tax money going to feed, clothe, house and medically treat Susan Smith or Andrea Yates for the rest of their natural lives (which will reach well into millions of dollars). It would appear the State of California will now fork over more money to Octomom for the raising of her children. I not only blame Octomom for having so many children with no means to support them, but the doctor that did the procedure allowing her to have all all the children. Yes, children are a blessing, but there is a limit. If you can’t support them, you shouldn’t have them. She doesn’t know how to manage either children, but doesn’t know how to manage money as well.
The losers in all of this are the children and the tax payers of the state of CA. Those poor kids have no fighting chance!!! The medicade system was created with good intensions – help those in need to get back on their feet. But somehow, the system is broken and being abused by so many.

Few facts: 1) No need for her to have her tubes tied, this was in vitro. 2) Why do some of the octuplets look totally different? 3) She is a freakin’ liar when she says her flat stomach needed no surgery. I’m NO plastic surgeon, but I’d bet my life there’s no way you’d lose that excess skin naturally after carrying 8 children at once AFTER previous pregnancies. She lies ALL the time. 4) Remember, she went OUT OF HER WAY to conceive these children when she should not have due to her total inability to support them adequately primarily because she is obviously mentally ill and they are the ones who suffer greatly.
Some of the octuplets look totally different because they aren’t all identical. I actually don’t know what they look like, but I believe there were 6 embryos and two split to become twins, making 8 total babies. So the other 4 embryos are all completely different DNA, like average siblings. I totally agree with you about what you said about her stomach. I used to watch Jon and Kate Plus 8 (before all the tabloid sh-t) and in one episode Kate showed her stomach and it was freaky looking about a year after she had the sextuplets. Lots of excess skin that you didn’t really notice when she was dressed (she didn’t look overweight/out of shape). She got a free tummy tuck from a plastic surgeon but before that her stomach looked really weird. Octomom’s would’ve been even worse.
One of the octuplets looks nothing like anyone else in the family, it is BLONDE with BLUE EYES! If all of the other children have dark hair/skin/eyes where did the little blonde one come from? There has also been information presented in the investigation of her Dr. showing that he falsified records, never EVER used frozen embryo on her has previous claimed , and quite possibly used more embryo then the 6 they originally claimed. Meaning that possibly NONE of the octuplets are twins.
