Variety reports that Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher have signed on to star in Friends with Benefits, a romantic comedy directed by Ivan Reitman. Plot details are secret, but studio Paramount has already announced a Jan. 7, 2011 release date. Reitman, father of Oscar nominee Jason Reitman, hasn’t directed for the big screen since 2006′s My Super Ex-Girlfriend.

Saw a test screen last night. Despite title, it’s really great. Funny as hell and well paced, Ashton is actually really believeable
