Jesse James has issued a vague apology to Sandra Bullock and his children, in light of the tabloid claims that he had an affair. In a statement provided to People, James says: “The vast majority of the allegations reported are untrue and unfounded. Beyond that, I will not dignify these private matters with any further public comment. There is only one person to blame for this whole situation, and that is me. It’s because of my poor judgment that I deserve everything bad that is coming my way. This has caused my wife and kids pain and embarrassment beyond comprehension and I am extremely saddened to have brought this on them. I am truly very sorry for the grief I have caused them. I hope one day they can find it in their hearts to forgive me.” Yesterday, Bullock canceled her appearance at the London premiere of The Blind Side amidst the infidelity rumors.

I heard that he was involved with the one woman for the last 12 months, and I’ve read an article online that apparantly quotes some of what she said about it/him. Perhaps Jesse did cheat with her, but it’s certainly possible that it was more brief than the alleged 12 months, or that some of the comments she has made are untrue (or at least that her memory & his memory of certain conversations etc may differ). I love Sandra, I wish her the best in this time, I hope she has a lot of support – and that the media give her and the kids privacy & respect.
It amazes me how mean some of you people are. Really, ****? Trailer rats? Clearly Sandra was incredibly in love with this guy (she thanked him profusely in all of her acceptance speeches) and clearly she was blindsided (no pun intended) by these allegations. I hope she keeps her head up and knows how much her true fans really love and support her. : )

I think the definition of unfaithful between them is anything which broke the full trust she provided him. Don’t believe he cheated physically but he did have some type of sexting type relationship, as per her cell phone records. Stupid, immature…but forgiveable (I think this was a year ago, wasn’t it? The girl waited a year to come forward. So I think its long over. She chose now to embarrass Sandra. so sad.)

Perhaps the biggest (potential) tragedy in this situation is the daughter that Jesse had with one of his previous wives. Jesse & Sandra now have joint full custody of the girl (who is now 6), because the mother was a drug addict (although the mother still has visiting rights). Sandra is a second Mom to this girl, and loves her as her own daughter. I hope in this situation that the girl (and her siblings) are put first by Jesse & Sandra – and by everyone else.

Monogamy may be overrated for some people, but that’s not the point here. It’s all about the terms of your marriage. If you are like Mo’nique and her husband they agree that a slip here and there is okay, then they are abiding by the terms of their marriage and all is good. I have a feeling, based on her current alleged reaction, Sandra signed up for a monogamous relationship because to her monogamy was not overrated, therefore the terms of their marital agreement have been broken and it may not make their bond stronger–it may end it because they clearly want different things.
I feel bad for her because she stood up at all of those award shoes and praised that guy for his support and he sat there accepting it all the while knowing that he had played her. He is a being of extreme low character–that’s the nicest way I can say it.

What a strange thing to say. First of all, Sandra was way appropriately humble throughout the awards season and numerous times acknowledged the amazing company she found herself in. No one deserves to be treated the way he has treated her…no one. She is unique among the Hollywood royalty. She moved to TX to have some semblance of a normal life and family; she didn’ marry every Tom, Dick & Harry that smiled at her over the years; etc, etc. She is a classy woman and has always maintained her dignity as a human being.
I agree with you Katie. Sandra is a classy woman who doesn’t wear her heart on her sleeve. She finally allowed herself to love someone and “have her back” and the sleezball couldn’t handle it. Like a rubberband that got stretched to his limit, when let go he rebounded back to his original tastes. The sad moral of this story is that a leopard doesn’t change his spots.
