RIP Mr. Parker….
complications from old age? I thought complications from old age were things like not being able to hear or having to pee all the time or stiff joints or being forgetful! I’ve never heard of death as a complication of old age.
Kind of a lame explanation, isn’t it?
Death is the ultimate complication.
R.I.P. Fess Parker.
I met Fess Parker years ago at his winery – he signed a bottle of wine and told a story. He was charming, had a warm smile and a kind way about himself. RIP Mr. Parker.
Another piece of my youth is gone.
He lived a great life.
Thank you, Mr.Parker for wholesome timeless entertainment with a Capital E. They just don’t make ‘em like they used to. RIP
I remember being so excited about Davy Crockett when I was a 7 year old kid in early 1955. I have always remembered Fess Parker
Jeez, I know you gotta lot of work on this site, having to come up with all the angles on Twilight, but ya couldn’t be bothered to imdb the guy and give a litle bit more information on his career? He was in Old Yeller fer chrissakes.
I met Mr. Parker at the Tarrent county rodeo (Fort Worth) @ 1968-69 (somewhere in there). He was a kind man and a boyhood hero (Davy Crockett, Daniel Boone). I hope he knew Christ as his savior.
Jim I am sure he was a Christian,I just can feel it. We will meet him on the other side ,I promise.
Almost a year later after his death, I just found out yesterday that he died, and I feel really bad about it. I’ve been watching a lot of “Daniel Boone” shows every day on RTV (Retro TV) for several months now… I love them. I’m with you on that. I’m hoping Fess Parker was a Christian, also. The moral character he played in “Daniel Boone” would suggest he was one. Of course, we can’t use that show as a fact for how Fess Parker morally lived in real life, or if he was a Christian. He certainly lived a long enough life to make the wise decision.
Rest in Peace Fess! thank you for being a part of my growing up years and childhood – you were a wonderful role model – God Bless you
JoAnne
