Co-producer Will Ferrell has tapped two of his fellow Saturday Night Live alumni, Horatio Sanz and Chris Parnell, to join a new, still-untitled Comedy Central sitcom also starring Napoleon Dynamite star Jon Heder, reports Variety. “Anyone in the comedy world knows that Horatio Sanz and Chris Parnell are two of the funniest guys around,” said Adam McKay, who also runs Gary Sanchez Prods. with Ferrell.
Sanz and Parnell will play old friends of Heder’s newly unemployed dreamer, who has just moved back in with his parents. Comedy Central has already picked up 10 episodes of the comedy, and have an option of ordering 90 more. Walk Hard‘s Lew Morton is on board as writer, while McKay and Chris Henchy will serve as executive producers. Production is scheduled to begin this month.

quite a number jump there, 10 episodes to 90… is that correct?
i love Horatio Sanz, and am glad to see him getting into a sitcom! i’ll be there!
I think Parnell was one of the funnier, more reliable SNL cast members of the last 10 years. The way he was let go and then hired back before being let go again was a mess. I’m glad to see he’s being given some face time on television beyond the odd cameo here and there.
I hope this doesn’t interfere with any Dr. Spaceman appearances…
Horatio Sanz has NEVER been funny!
They used to pair him up with Jimmy Fallon in all of his skits so that people would think the very unfunny Sanz was funny.
Horatio Sanz has NEVER been even remotely funny (and yet he had the gall to giggle-smirk-and-laugh THROUGHOUT EVERY skit SNL was stupid enough to allow him to be a part of — thus, totally ruining it).
He should have been an insurance salesman.
Comedy is / was NOT his forte!
