NBC and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced today that producer/director Don Mischer will oversee this year’s Emmys, which takes place on August 29. Mischer also produced 2009′s Neil Patrick Harris-hosted event. “Don produced a Primetime Emmy telecast last year that hit it out of the park,” Academy chairman John Shaffner said in a press release. “We are very fortunate to be able to work with him again this year.”
I was hoping the show would be sometime in September so maybe Conan could host. Bummer.
Bummer is right. Since this is on NBC, it seems obvious who they’ll chose to host(hint: unfunny, big-chinned backstabber).
